I just realized there are some very similar responses (e.g. here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/idiot-newbie-here-in-need-of-help-5239775). Therefore, I close this one not to bother anybody Smiley

Hi,
I'm new to bitcoin, obviously.
I bought some bitcoin (not that much, fortunately), installed Armory on my PC, created a receiving address and sent the bitcoin from the trading platform to that address.
However, what I did not realize is that Armory requires me to download the whole blockchain first! I did not do that in the first place, which is why my wallet is not yet "connected" to the blockchain (Armory is offline).
I do not have more than 100 Gb of free space, thus my questions:
  • Will my bitcoins appear in the Armory wallet once I download the whole blockchain?
  • If I could, I'd install another wallet which does not require the blockchain to be downloaded. Is there any way I can transfer the bitcoins I sent to the Armory wallet to another wallet without downloading the whole blockchain?
Thanks for your help Smiley
