Have you tried submitting your transaction at the ViaBTC TX Accelerator? You need to submit it right on the top of the hour in the first few seconds... as they only accept 100 txes per hour...

Of course, if you can't wait then CPFP is an option... To do CPFP you should just have to right click on the struck transaction and select the appropriate option. CPFP is only available if one of the outputs of the stuck transaction is going to an address your wallet controls (like a change address).

Note: you may need to make sure you're on the latest version of Electrum (2.8.2) if the dynamic fees aren't showing up proper amounts... there were bugs in older versions...

I'ts been in limbo since yesterday morning. I was using dynamic fees but for some reason it sent at 150 sats/b which is too low. Are there any guides posted
on how to deal with this in an Electrum wallet?

i sent about 2 btc with a $9 transaction fee and it took about 2 days. just as a reference point for you
