if you do a transfer between coinbase accounts it will be done off-chain, instantaneous and fee-less
but you won't see the bitcoin transfer in the blockchain like other normal bitcoin transactions
however I'm not sure whether this transfer would show your name or not
If it's happening off-chain, it will show the user's name. But (AFAIK) it's only if the user sends to someones else Coinbase email.

if you are sending from your electrum address to someone's coinbase address,
you will be sending from a bitcoin address to another bitcoin address, so no name attached on these addresses

if you do a transfer between coinbase accounts it will be done off-chain, instantaneous and fee-less

Does the same hold true for ethereum?

Pretty much, yes. Since bitcoin and ethereum has a very similar level of pseudo-anonymosity as both blockchains are public.

Nope.

Probably unless the person you're sending the bitcoin to is some sort of government personality or fed, basically someone who can demand information from companies/organizations, and he/she knows that the bitcoin is actually is from Coinbase; then he/she could probably ask Coinbase who the wallet owner is.

AFAIK, your name will only be included if you send to the user's Coinbase email instead of his BTC addresses.

No, they won't.

Coinbase will send you your bitcoins to your Electrum wallet from a hot wallet. So they will only be able to know that you used Coinbase, but not your username (unless Coinbase collaborate to identify you, which is very unlikely)

I purchased Bitcoin from Coinbase then sent it to my Electrum Wallet on my desktop. If I send bitcoin to someone from my Electrum wallet will they be able to see my name? It is my understanding they use Coinbase as their wallet.
