OmegaStarScream :

I am now using Electrum 2.7.9, not sure what i used before but asuming it was about 6 months old.

When i opened Electrum i choosed to recover wallet using seeds and then entered password.
Then i made the withdraw to what most have been an account it opened "by itself" I am 100% sure i did not enter more passwords or recieved new seeds so wonder how it was even possible ?

If my laptop didnt crash and i understood what was happaning i probably could have fixed it by transfering it to the correct account.

Now i can only view the account "view only" and see the btc is there but no way to reach it.

Is there any hope or can i just give up straight away? What will happened to that account?
Its not like anyone else will be able to reach it either... ?

Thanks for the support.

Cheers!

I'm a little bit confused here, I would like to know what version of Electrum you are using (before and after reinstalling Tails). Saying that your wallet opened multiple window's don't make much sense unless you clicked the executable multiple times. If you saw the funds in one of the windows opened and you have the seed or the wallet file + the password then there is a chance to recover your bitcoins otherwise I'm afraid there is nothing that can be done since Tails really make a good job on "leaving no trace" and If it was LiveCD, this will makes things even worst.

Hello,

I think i somehow managed to make a big mistake.

I just had reinstalled tails and used a seperate usb stick with old electrum data on it.
I managed to recover old account by using the seeds but some how electrum most have created a new wallet even without given me seeds, asking for passowrd etc... Does this make any sense?

I then withdraw some money to the electrum wallet and being a bit confused i got several electrum windows open and i could see the money was in one of the windows. But then my laptop rebooted by itself.  Is there any chance that this money can be recovered? i have the wallet address and transaction id but no idea how to recover?
Nobody will ever be able to log into that account i think?

Is there anything i could do? and what will happened to the account ?

Appriciate all help.

Cheers.
