I'm guessing you missed the part where you need to have Bitcoin Core downloaded, installed and fully synced to be able to use Armory "properly"...

Armory requires the Bitcoin Core blocks to be able to read/scan to see the incoming transactions that affect your Armory bitcoin addresses... and it utilises the Bitcoin Core subsystem to send outgoing transactions.

NOTE: your BTC is not lost, it will be in your Armory address (assuming you entered the correct address when withdrawing from the exchange)... it just won't show until Bitcoin Core is fully synced... and Armory has scanned the Bitcoin Core blocks.

Hi

I recently installed Armory as recommended as a secure wallet. Followed the install process, all ok. I followed a basic tutorial of how to receive the bitcoin from an exchange. Sent coins to my Armory wallet address....checked the blockchain progress and there are  multiple confirmations.

However, I cant see any activity on Armory (no red/green status, ------- BTC in Funds etc)...using the latest 0.96-2 version. It doesnt appear to be online either but no status bar saying this. Im worried that Ive lost my bitcoin.

I'm a completely new to desktop wallets so any help would be appreciated. I can send log files if needs be
