It is about controlling speech and creating a thought police, trans support is a tool used for that goal.

The whole psychological field creates more and more aspects that they can label so that the field stays relevant.
With CT scans the brain becomes less of a tool of mystery and they need to figure out ways to hold onto the power they have through labels and medication. This transgender issue effects such a small segment and yet we need to create special bathrooms,act like they are normal and go on with life. Have yet to come across one trans that did not have other mental issues that where messing up their view points on life.
Over compensating with the trans issue to mask childhood trauma.

Was really starting to worry that we where just going to keep going down this tunnel and the next step would be pedophiles.
What else is their really to protect and give rights to besides that and people that hump animals! The cupboard is bare and they would start
labeling kids with off the moon symptoms for expressing any kind of emotions.

And yet parents doing this abuse on their children are celebrated everyday.

i am completely agree with this idea.. childrens are growing up both mentally and physically day by day .. while growing up , they can be confused about their gender identity .. this incident is a normal process .. it isnt a sign that this child must change his or her gender.. so after becoming an adult, he or she can decide whether he or she wants to change their gender or not..

Well, at first I misread the header and thought that this was from some psychiatric organization and it had suddenly been taken over by sane people...

If you are born homosexual, why can't you be a trans from birth: that's the rational for this to happen.

What I must have missed and not sure where this changed; When did confusion of ones sex become normal and no longer considered a mental health issue? Felt like we did a big leap well I was not paying attention and it became a cause to rally around.
Homosexuality I understand but the trans issue has always been hard to figure out. Have only known one trans personally and he had serious life issues that made him hard to be around.

I think it's going to be #3 that pisses off the politically correct sexuality police.  But I agree with their points and didn't realize this had even become an issue.   Probably should start watching the news.

Was totally pissed off when I started reading all these parents messing with their own kids sexuality early on, when a kid has not even hit puberty. Felt like attention grabbing at the cost of their kids future. When I was 6 I thought girls had cooties, guess I would have received a sex change!
Nice to see some rational thinking, instead of more push for a cause.
Kids can make their own minds up when they are older, not when they still beleive in Santa.

That's kind of a no brainer...

You don't take your 6-year old kid, and change him from a boy into a girl...

That's child abuse except in some possibly extreme case where it might be medically necessary


It's nearly as bad as praying for your sick child instead of taking him to the hospital (doctors are 1000x more effective than God)

The American College of Pediatricians released a statement this week declaring that gender reclassification of children, also known as transgenderism, constitutes child abuse.

“The American College of Pediatricians urges educators and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex,” the statement, entitled “Gender Ideology Harms Children,” began. “Facts – not ideology – determine reality.”

The temporary statement, published Monday, March 21, with a full statement to follow in summer 2016, listed what the association ruled to be eight objective facts supporting their argument for why gender reclassification will now officially be classified as abuse:

    1. Human sexuality is an objective biological binary trait: “XY” and “XX” are genetic markers of health – not genetic markers of a disorder.

    2. No one is born with a gender. Everyone is born with a biological sex. Gender (an awareness and sense of oneself as male or female) is a sociological and psychological concept; not an objective biological one.

    3. A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking. When an otherwise healthy biological boy believes he is a girl, or an otherwise healthy biological girl believes she is a boy, an objective psychological problem exists that lies in the mind not the body, and it should be treated as such.

    4. Puberty is not a disease and puberty-blocking hormones can be dangerous. Reversible or not, puberty-blocking hormones induce a state of disease – the absence of puberty – and inhibit growth and fertility in a previously biologically healthy child.

    5. According to the DSM-V, as many as 98% of gender confused boys and 88% of gender confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty.

    6. Children who use puberty blockers to impersonate the opposite sex will require cross-sex hormones in late adolescence. Cross-sex hormones (testosterone and estrogen) are associated with dangerous health risks including but not limited to high blood pressure, blood clots, stroke and cancer.

    7. Rates of suicide are twenty times greater among adults who use cross-sex hormones and undergo sex reassignment surgery, even in Sweden which is among the most LGBQT – affirming countries.

    8. Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful as child abuse.

The policy statement was authored by President of the American College of Pediatricians, Dr. Michelle A. Cretella, Vice President of the American College of Pediatricians, Dr. Quentin Van Meter and Johns Hopkins Medical School Psychology Professor Dr. Paul McHugh.
