Lawsuits take years.. Lawsuit is in US. Gox in japan. do people lack understanding of how real world works?

Just like many people now think solving crimes is all about CSI-style evidence, they seem to think it's really easy to sue people and collect money too. I mean if Boston Legal can finish a case in 60 minutes why can't a real court?  Grin

The quiet before the storm,I think. The big elephant in the room is if the lawsuit is successful how would Mt. Gox pay for it?

The price is obviously being manipulated upward.

How did coinbase come up with the 75 million figure? That's almost 10% of bitcoin's market cap!

It sounds a bit like those music companies asking 100 million in copyright damages for downloading one song lol.

Even though I'll make gains only if the price goes down, I feel a bit apprehensive. Something doesn't feel right. Its been a while since we've had a real DDoS, MtGox hasn't been loading quite right lately, I'm seeing some strange movement. I don't really know whats going on.

There are a lot of tiny orders at MtGox right now. I suspect it is so that someone can dump a few coins and make it look like a much larger dump than it is..

Why would it look larger?

interesting, in my opinion Mtgox should simply raise the minimum order, I doubt anyone wants to go through the entire hassle of buying btc from mtgox to buy $1 worth. Minimum should be .1 BTC
