There are 28,000 in TRC buy orders for LTC waiting to be filled- all at prices that make it MORE profitable to mine TRC then LTC.

But that won't last. You only get 20 TRC per block, get it while the difficulty is low enough!

lol it's interesting seeing all these new currencies pop up, maybe there will be a micro-nation somewhere that will make one since they won't need a printing press?

Well the profitability is still going up. There is nearly a 20K TRC buy order at .0951 LTC/TRC. And about 30K between that and .08. There are now more buy orders then sell. So the market, very slowely, very slowely, gets a bit deeper. :-)

Not to mention your GPU's run cooler mining BTC/TRC then LTC. (Perhaps not an issue in the winter, but mining TRC has been more stable for me as well without consuming every drop of system resources)

Does anyone think that if TRC gets more popular, it will depress the price of LTC? a little Wink
Because it looks like people are trading TRC<>LTC<>BTC
because cryptocoin doesnt have a TRC<>BTC

Well I guess to be more profitable one needs the exchange to actually be open. My bad.

also remember the amount of orders on that site is STUPIDLY small.. it would take probably 4k of TRC selling to just crash the price 30% (at least it looked like that when the site was still up)

It's not so small considering how small the whole coin is at the moment. 4K of tRC selling would drop the price, but not by much. There is a good 8K of TRC between .083 and .08, not to mention people are trying to snap up huge loads all at once.

I'm more curious about the fast variability in the difficulty will do concerning price. Confirms at the moment are super quick, which is nice. I saw when I posted this the diff skyrocketed, but now it's back to where it was before. Maybe until a very large volume of people are mining diff won't play such a large part in the price?

i think it is a GREAT thing that difficulty adjusts every 30 blocks or so (whatever the # is). it means that when its "pumped" up.. its not a LOOONNNGGGG road until it corrects (like how it was a 2day/5day cycle for LTC in december when difficulty bounced all over). Now if mining doubles and halves constantly its like 30 minutes and 2 hours between adjustment.

In terms of price.. price is wayyy low and its unprofitable to mine.. mmk?

Over at http://exchange.zapto.org/ it seems more profitable to mine TRC then LTC.

I've got about 800KH of LTC mining power, which gets me at Litecoin pool about 27.3 LTC per day.

I could also use that same mining power to get about 900mh of TRC mining power and make about 450 TRC per day.

At http://exchange.zapto.org/ I can sell my TRC for .083 LTC per TRC, so 450 * .083 or 37.35 LTC

So basically I can make 10 LTC more per day mining TRC then I can mining LTC alone.

EDIT: fixed my spelling in title.
