Cool Cool

What would be your 2 favorite of all time crypto coins 1btc and under you would jump for joy if you found them on treasure island.

My two would be

1 btc casascius gilt
2050 Kialara messenger

Casascius has its place for being the first but I stay with Lealana and Ognasty the gold ones.

Interesting idea, sound very great also to me and this could be replicated also in various location (like a franchise business or a tedx external conference).
BTW prize should be very "interesting" or it's not worth it any effort ... there are not many people that could afford (or having real interest) in an adventure like this

At this point I am just seeing what the interest level is from all my friends and members here on the forum.  This is just me thinking out loud what an incredible once in a lifetime trip this would be. Cool Cool Cool Cool.  Many details would need to come to fruition to make this a reality

How about starting with proposals, we could find someone to make us some 5 limited edition coins. For the treasure of the islands it sounds good.

Mopars 5 coin plastic chip set so.metal detectors cant be used

I do have about 30 sets left lol could also use satoris and bcct chips

Hey friends in bitcointalk land

Sitting around doing nothing thinking what if there was a treasure island you could sail to and hunt for rare  buried cryptocurrency coins.   How many here would make a vacation of this type of adventure.

The Dolphin votes absolutely ( just say yes or no)  I just want to see how many of us still have the desire for adventure as we did when we were kids Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Yes, when we start…?…. Or how…?

It would definitely be something amazing, maybe include a couple of commemorative coins for this event ...
Those of us who want to be part of it should give it a thumbs up and see how it can be done.

You can easily make some sort of geocatching inside an area of your choice, and the geocatching treasures can be private keys.
Adding some collectibles would add wonderful souvenirs too.
It can be done and I'm sure that people will come and find it enjoyable.

I know I didn't say I'll come or not, but OP didn't say anything about where would this be organized (country...)

This for me would be a thrill of a lifetime to visit a private island where there is actually physical bitcoins buried in the sand.  I can't imagine a more fun time for both the grown-ups and the kids. Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

I lived for these type of adventures the last decade of my life but now have a newborn and 2 year old so the adventures involving traveling are on hold a few years. I still use the metal detector and magnet fishing setup as often as possible. But if ever on the west coast US id love to meet up.

I'm in. Let's go.

I used to live in the Caribbean. In my free time I did research and then either snorkeled or dove looking for old 1500s-1750 shipwrecks. It's super fun finding them. Impossible to claim and excavate unless you're a university or gigantic company cutting deals with the government.

I wonder what the digital parallel is? Honestly, buying bitcoin and collecting funded coins sort of supplies some adrenalin...
