Within about 5 years its seems cash may be something of a dinosaur and used by only the extremely technological illiterate,

Cash will take a lot longer than five years to kill and will probably still be around in ten, but its use will dwindle considerably. Payments via apps will gradually be used more and more and a cashless society will probably happen within our generation, though.

its funny that you say that because none of us will be using it

Using what? Paper money? Maybe none of us will be using bitcoin either.

Well, that's true. Majority of Americans are buying Toyotas, Hondas, and Chevy's.

But do they want to buy them ?

I am not really sure, where you are exactly heading, but the obvious flaw here, is that the big majority of people don't purchase Fiat, they get paid in fiat and than they have to use it.
It will take more than 5 years, so a majority of people get paid in BTC and would have to purchase Fiat to use it.

it wasn't that difficult to understand do you lack imagination or something ?

I am really baffled by your thread, your title states that US consumers will be unlikely to purchase and use Fiat but I did not realise people were purchasing and using fiat I thought that was a currency that we earned and used?

Majority of US consumers unlikely to purchase and use bitcoin sounds more right which I would agree with as we still have a lot of people to show that bitcoin is the way forward and is worth trying.

I do like your satire however this is simply not true. Especially within 5 years as you estimate.

if they own smart phones they will be doing it in 5 years, its

only satire for the unknowing,

no doubt though large touch screen help desks and special help centers will be deployed to make sure everyone can

benefit from the wide array of advantages offered by Bitcoin. Technology is not perfect and just like sometimes

you find yourself in command of a pen and paper fiat will still be a last resort.
