I am not sure about the price of first metal Trezor devices but it must wort something as collectibles item.
Note that Trezor recently started a giveaway on twitter for 3 limited edition metallic Trezor Model One.
I am not sure this is the exact same metallic case like you have, but I am sure internals are identical.

That's a good question, but I didn't see any indication if it's metallic. Maybe that grey circle on the back of the Trezor means metallic, but I'm not sure. I was trying to peek inside somehow, but didn't want to damage the packaging.

I guess it would probably be possible to do some analysis without opening the package to see if it's metallic/aluminum inside. For example, weighing the product, or doing some kind of imaging scan.

Very nice to own an packaged metal one. Any chance you can post a pic of what the packaging  looks like?  Thanks

Here it is.

Well, envelope is opened, but package / trezor unopened.

Can see the shipment date on the envelope from Prague, January 7th, 2014 to New York city.

Thanks for the photos. That package is indeed for a first edition Trezor.  My question is....where does it indicate it is the metal one? Is there anything on the package indicating it's metall?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure only 100-200 of these Metallics First Editions were sent out in the first ever hardware wallet batch in 2014.

I have to go check my records, but on satoshilabs website, they say they made 1000 in the first batch, but this included both Classic (plastic) and metallic.

If I remember correctly, only around 100-200 of those were the First Edition Metallic versions. The rest 800+ were the Classic/Plastic ones.

At first I was thinking this was a post about one of these (3 versions - $700-1500). Exact clones can be bought for $10 now FYI , if anyone is interested at a reasonable rate.

Any idea on mintage #?  Smart move getting and never opening! It’s def worth a good bit, how much not a clue. Not sure I’ve ever seen one for sale tbh.

Best of luck.

Hi,

I was one of the first customers to get the First Edition Trezor Metallic Hardware wallet from SatoshiLabs. I bought a plastic one also, and kept the metallic as a collectible, thinking it would be worth a lot some day 20-40 years from now.

It's now been 10 years.  I'm curious what it's worth. I don't see any on sale anymore.

It was from the first batch, from 2014 (not talking about later in 2016 when they were made).

It's still in its original packaging, and even in the mailing envelope from Czech Republic. I'm sure someone from Trezor could probably even verify the purchase. I have the original emails, and orders, and the bitcoin transaction.

I'm probably going to hold it for another 20-30 years, but was just curious what it could be worth these days, if anything.

Here's more Info:

TREZOR Metallics First Edition was the first hardware wallet ever produced. It was delivered to the earliest crowdfunders in May 2014. TREZOR Metallics come in a brushed aluminum case with the words First Edition engraved on the back.

TREZOR sales launched to the public in August 2014, and in a few short months it became the global standard for bitcoin security. TREZOR is now used in nearly 100 countries worldwide and boasts the highest customer satisfaction rating in the industry, with a return rate of less than 0.3%.
