Hello all,

Some question for you Trezor experts:

1, Is 12 words really sufficient as a seed? Or is it really worth going for 18 or 24?

2, Can I add a passphrase to an already generated seed?

3, What is the point of using the passphrase to encrypt the seed if the easier thing to do is wipe the device and not store the seed on it?

1. It's all about seed entropy, the more words, the higher the entropy! 24 words is safer than 12 words, so go for it.
2. I doubt it, because the password alters the seed.
3. I don't know if I understand you correctly. How will you work with the trezor without storing the seed on it?

Maybe you want to have a look in the trezor online manual:
http://doc.satoshilabs.com/trezor-user/index.html

Thanks a lot.

For number 3 I now understand that the seed is used to generate the keys! I didn't know that before I asked the question.
