Try increasing the default gas limit provided by the Trezor especially when you are transferring ERC-20 tokens which usually requires more than 45k Gas limit.

And as far as I know, it isn't the gas limit that dictates the cost of your overall transaction but the GWEI (gigaWEI) you have set before submitting it to the network.

I don't know how many blockchain Trezor supports but I assume you were using Ethereum when you sent DAI. When did you send? 36K gas limit is enough under normal conditions but I think you were caught up with the surge of users which clogged the network. Can you check the numbers again? It should be above 50K right now. If not, there's something wrong with their gas monitoring.

Hey guys!
I was sending today DAI and the Gaslimit was preset by Trezor Suit for around 36000.
This failed me twice a transaction and cost me money.
Which value should be chosen to have a "normal" transaction.

(I know that it is refunded if the Gaslimit is way to high) but still I don't wanna overpay in case of a failed transaction.

Thank you!
