I hope Justin Sun with his good marketing strategy is able to talk and convince Pa Warren to invest in Tron, maybe he might just open up his mind and try new thing after a round table discussion. well it will take more than Sun to convince Warren about cryptocurrency since he thinks bitcoin is more dangerous than a rat poison.

He didn't meet warren and have you watched that news? That news says if justin was reported by some medias of he was winning the auction. But justin's not written about when the lunch will be held or im not yet find that news.

Buffett is certainly old, but his investing style shouldn't be considered "old school".  It's a smart way of investing but takes a lot of discipline and not following the crowd, which is why most people can't emulate his success.  Value investing will certainly outlive him. 

And yeah, I'd be interested to know what those two men discuss at the lunch, though I highly doubt Buffett is going to be the one who gets educated.  But man...that is a crazy amount of money just to have lunch with someone.  Maybe Mr. Sun will take something away from the meeting that will help crypto--who knows? 

I don't think this is major news either, but it's almost like a changing of the guard (except it isn't).  Buffett's investing has been consistently profitable for decades, whereas bitcoin itself has existed for just a hair over a single decade.  It's not as if blockchain technology is supplanting value investing.  All in all, it's just a lunch where two successful people might bat a few ideas around.  Not a huge headline IMO.

So they want publicity to attract more investor to his shitcoin .
To shill his creation to attract a potential investor.
But I don't think buffet would invest on him buffet doesn't like Bitcoin and it is the leading crypto so what more to this shitcoin?

This news came out just 2 days ago so I don't think they've already met. His goal is to try and convince Buffet about the potential of Blockchain and possibly try to get him to invest in it because as we know Buffet doesn't have a great opinion about it. Not sure what's his going to achieve,I just hope Buffet is not going to come again with some bad statements that could affect the market.

If one can buy lunch with this old billionaire, the next step may be fundraising from crypto community to buy his positive feedback about Bitcoin. 

A shitcoiner and a nocoiner are going to chat, so what? Buffet won't change his mind about Bitcoin, and Justin Sun won't be even trying to convince him, instead he will be hyping "blockchain technology", and Buffet already likes it, while not understanding it in the slightest bit, because he trusts his friends who told him so.
I think the lesson that we should learn here is that no man is perfect, even genius people make mistakes, so don't create cults of personality, focus on ideas rather then the people.

hmm.. isn't the auction made by Warren? Why did he have to pay in cryptocurrency?  The auction is for his charity meaning, it is Sun who have to pay the organization.  Im kinda confused with your statment

Justin Sun auctioning in a charity event related to Warren Buffet is something like he is kissing his ass, which only means Sun just wants his presence to be known by Warren Buffett. And the only reason he is doing this is he wants to have a partnership with him just like what he is doing on other big corporations so that their name is tied with his cryptocurrency. To be honest this isn't a loss for the Bitcoin community as I don't expect Warren Buffett to change his views towards us.

I don't know about that. I believe the crypto community has taken a stand against Buffet for everything he's said about Bitcoin and cryptos over the past few years and all the negativity he's been spreading in the media. Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how what the old turd says after he meets Justin Sun.

Btw, Justin Sun is by far the best at marketing a crypto in this space, if this news doesn't attract newcomers and fresh capital into his shitcoin, I don't know what else would.

Did he meet with Warren buffet? If he did, what exactly is the goal or purpose of the meeting? To market his blockchain or get funding from the billionaire?

But I think this is really just fomo. Warren Buffett will not easily invest in areas he does not understand. he only knew the insurance industry, the textile industry and the beverage industry.
It will certainly be an interesting lunch but for WB to invest in TRON will be another difficult issue.

We should really have a bet over at the gambling board about whether Buffet will come out in support of Bitcoin after this lunch.
I personally think it's not very likely, but I do think that this is what Justin Sun intends to do; convince Buffet of the positive aspects of cryptocurrency.

I'm wondering why Warren Buffet, despite all his riches is still making a lot of noise even in crypto world. After all the bad things that he has said about Bitcoin, he was still able to involve in it. Good thing that Justin Sun has won that auction. There are real people who are saying negative things about Bitcoin but still ends up getting involved in it.

It's called sweet revenge! Bufft is a well known crypto hater and said many bad things about cryptos in the international media. Now when the founder of TRON won the charity auction, he must try to pay the amount in cryptocurrency and announce it in the international media. That would be the sweetest revenge if Buffet accepts it!

People have to understand that every speculation of a person can't be right everytime! Few years back, Buffet's comments on crypto have done bad harm to the market!

Buffet said so many bad things about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general that I think it will be extremely hard to change his mindset on this subject. He admitted that he doesn't have much knowledge regarding this technology “This is explained to me by people a lot smarter than I am.” Most likely those people that explained to him about Blockchain have the same mentality as him and it's obviously that they are all non believers in bitcoin. We'll have to wait and see how this meeting between Sun and Buffet goes before we can take any decisions but I'm sure this is not the first person that tried to change Buffet's mentality towards cryptocurrencies.

It's pretty crazy how much people would pay to expand their business network. This could easily pay off too, considering this is Warren freaking Buffett.

That being said, I'm not sure if they could change his mind on crypto matters. Old dudes tend to be set in their ways, and I imagine Buffett is even moreso, considering his level of success. They'll always believe that their methods are better than everything else.

Notably, buffett also criticized bitcoin speculation at last month’s shareholder meeting as akin to gambling in Las Vegas. Buffett also has a consistent attitude towards bitcoin. As early as 2014, buffett commented that bitcoin is an illusion. And later repeatedly warned that bitcoin is more toxic than rat poison. But in rejecting bitcoin, buffett has also affirmed blockchain. In an interview with CNBC in February, buffett noted that blockchain is important. But bitcoin has no unique value. Bitcoin is essentially an illusion.

In a letter to the community posted on weibo, sun yuchen noted that buffett has said publicly that he does not think bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, has unique value, but he also pointed out the potential of blockchain as the underlying technology of all cryptocurrencies.
