Sorry I haven't reported back.  I live in a country where you just can't go out and buy a miner fan.  I had to have it shipped and then we have had some serious power outages which have made it hard for me to test anything.

I'll give it a more serious test later this week.

Block halving is coming.
Turnes out it was the fan.  The miner only had one fan so I bought the other one and it connected to nicehash.  I waited for the first payout period to expire but when it did, I didn't receive a payout.

Any idea why?

If you are using Nicehash wallet you can receive a payout every 4 hours if you mine at least 1000 sats with 2% service fee according to their support here "When and How do you get paid"

If your own wallet is outside Nicehash the minimum requirement is 0.001BTC once per week with a 2% to 3% service fee. You can read more here

It has been a month, may I ask why haven't you reported back your results at least out of respect to the people that tried to help you?

There is a minimum amount that you need to hit before getting any payouts, all of the details will be on Nicehash's website.

If you set it to mine at nicehash I think you use a pool that is applicable only for ASICboost firmware it looks like this below

Code:
stratum+tcp://sha256asicboost.auto.nicehash.com:9200

Based on what I heard it won't work if you use ASICboost pool on nicehash I suggest you if you want to mine Bitcoin try ViaBTC pool.

If this doesn't solve your issue I suggest you copy the kernel logs from your miner and paste it here on the forum don't forget to put it inside the insert code tag or paste it to pastebin.com and paste the URL here.

I just got an s9i antminer and I connected it and hit the reset button and I found it on my network and gave it the static ip the router was giving it and I can successfully ping 8.8.8.8.  However there is no hash rate or any other data for that matter, showing up on the miner status page and I made the first pool one from nicehash and I don't see the rig connected in nicehash.

Your router won't give a static IP to the miner, you have to set that manually on the miners network configuration, but that could be done later.

Please post a screenshot of the miner status and the pool configuration, chances are, you entered the wrong mining details.

Please use proper pool, nicehash is hard to connect to, they have different URLs for asicboost and non asicboost which can cause issues, try this pool.

URL:

Code:
stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333

USER:

PASS:

Code:

For the user, you can use any valid bitcoin address, make sure there are no leading or trailing spaces on any of the 3 inputs.

What could be the problem?
