Facts are more efficient than fud
Truly private will never happen because they have flaws and those are pointed here https://atriark.com/blog/bitcoin-beyond-investment-financial-freedom/

bitcoin is the best way..if you want more then just use cash

You can't use cash on the internet and private transactions already exist with cryptonite coins (XMR, BBR, Aeon).

Dude if someone would pay me to post about Monero, I'd take the money and publicly announce that I am now a paid shill for Monero, because I'm gonna post about it anyway.  I might as well get paid to do it.  As it is, my enthusiasm about Monero is all my own.

Thanks: you just pointed out the chicken-and-egg problem underlying the use of "paid shill" as an accusation. After all, don't those career counsellors keep telling us to find a job that we love?

Don't you mean private transactions?

Private blockchain would mean hidden coin generation so there would be no way of knowing how many coins are in circulation which is silly.

Don't worry, he doesn't actually have any idea what he's talking about. He just gets paid to shill for certain coins that I won't mention here.

I found the technology, it is the best out there, and I own a nice investment in the currency.  That should be enough motivation for anyone to support something, but please keep in mind *you* are the one bringing it up nutildah, not me.

So if you know someone who will give me free money to do what I'm gonna do anyway, send them my way.   Otherwise please contribute to the topic and stop trolling.

Ah yes, good catch; fixed.  I guess a truly private blockchain would be more like zerocash which isn't suitable as a currency either, because you can't verify the amount of coins in existence.

If you have any doubt about whether an anonymous blockchain is a necessity, check /r/bitcoin's top post today which is damage control because blockchain.info is mistakenly reporting that Satoshi's coins have moved.

https://np.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3frn1d/satoshis_coins_have_not_moved_blockchaininfo_is/

My reaction is: so what?  It shouldn't be a 10.0 Richter quake if Satoshi's coins move.  If bitcoin is true money, then it should be used as true money.

Each coin should be the same as any other, and any holder of bitcoin should be free to move their money as they see fit, and no other users should be able to see this happening.

Any currency that uses a public blockchain may be useful for public records, but it will not make a suitable worldwide currency.

Adapt or die.  Anything less than 100% privacy isn't good enough.
