Political science is the science of talk, talk, talk. The winner in political science is the person who can out-talk everybody else, no matter if it is the truth, or if there is any fact backing what is said.

Impeachment Collapses! He Can't Stop Lying! Hoax Proves Intent To Destroy Constitution! Highligh

The coup hearings this week are unconstitutional and corrupt but also petty and boring. The case against President Trump is so weak that his opponents' case against him is failing even as they deny President Trump his God-given and constitutional right to defend himself and confront his accusers. Here's just some of the highlights from last nights hearing…

The Dems keep pushing. They keep pushing, and though it takes a while, they seem to be slowly moving ahead. For the moment, they have been stalled again.

Democrats lose series of battles at Donald Trump's impeachment trial as Republicans block subpoena after subpoena - but Chuck Schumer says he will NOT give up campaign for witnesses

Democrats lost the first four rounds in President Donald Trump's impeachment trial Tuesday when the Senate voted down attempts by Chuck Schumer to subpoena a cache of documents from the White House and State Department and witness evidence from Mick Mulvaney regarding the Ukraine - but warned they will grind out their efforts long into the night.

Lawmakers voted down Schumer's amendments 53-47 on a strict party line votes for each – the same party split that divides the GOP-controlled Senate. The votes were held back to back on the first day of the president's impeachment trial.

Schumer wanted to subpoena documents from the administration related to Trump's communications with the president of the Ukraine and on intra-administration communication on the with holding - and later release - of U.S. military aid to the Ukraine. He also wanted White House budget documents about the withheld aid. But his Republican colleagues voted him down - three times.

Trump is impeached by the house and will then go to senate for trial.

This is a fact.

And this is good. Why? Because it shows the common people that the House Dems are corrupt. After all, the only reason they are impeaching Trump - the best President since Reagan - is because Trump is cleaning up the corruption.

Cool

No one can ever clean the corruption. Once you kick them out, there will always be someone who will do it and replace their king. It's like a gang of drug lords. Governments always think they score high when they kill or arrest the most influential drug lord, but it's not like that. Someone will always sit in the highest chair.

There are scales of corruption. You might have a drug dealer on your block. Maybe they sell dime bags to teenagers. Maybe they sell Fentanyl laced heroin to kids. Are they the same? I don't think so. Corruption is like a jungle of vines, you can only really cut a path through it, and it must be maintained or else you will have to start over again. This maintenance has been lacking for some time, and we are getting dangerously close to transforming from a high trust society to a low trust society, and that takes entire generations to repair.

I merited that. Well said.

That's like trying to say that nobody can answer any of notbatman's points about flat Earth. He keeps on bringing up points that nobody can answer, but other points are failures for his FE idea.

Since at least a tiny bit of the "Swamp" exists in all of us, it will never be cleaned up completely. But we can clean some of it up.

The high number of opposition in the house of Representatives have actually helped the Democrats  to achieve this, but also the high Number of the Republicans will counter what the House of Reps. have done, the Senate  will clear Trump. Trump will not be impeached.

List of Individuals Impeached by the House of Representatives

“The President, Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article II,

The Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power to impeach an official, and it makes the Senate the sole court for impeachment trials.

The Constitution gives the House of Representatives “the sole Power of Impeachment” (Article I, Section 2) of federal officers and gives the Senate “the sole Power to try all Impeachments” (Article I, Section 3). In the constitutional procedure of impeachment and removal, the House serves in the role of a grand jury bringing charges against an officer suspected of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors” (Article II, Section 4).

This impeachment will prove counter-productive for the Democrats. The Senate will clear him anyway. What will happen is that Trump's existing supporters will support him even more as the valiant underdog fighting the establishment, and in all likelihood it will get him some new anti-establishment votes, too. I can't see how the Democrats gain from this at all; Trump will remain in power, and support for him will increase.

The Democrats tried to impeach every single Republican president ever.
It comes with no shock they're such bitter lowlifes to try to impeach this one as well.

This isn't true. Articles of impeachment have been introduced for a good deal of Republican Presidents for the past couple decades, but these haven't gone anywhere. I would assume that if we were to look we could find a Republican rep who introduced articles of impeachment against the past couple Dem presidents -- but them not going anywhere.

The only impeachment inquirys that have gone anywhere in the modernish era - Nixon (Not impeached, resigned before he could be impeached), Clinton (Impeached by the House, found not guility by the Senate) and Trump (Impeached by the House, most likely going to be found not guility by the Senate)

Good or bad? It depends on the political camp you belong to. In general, I think that it's rather good. It will be a good lesson for politicians. Hopefully, they will get the idea that they are not allowed to do whatever they want to. They are not almighty and all their actions have their consequences.

no one will take american democracy serious anymore after trump impeachment, and half of america will stop supporting the democracy.

The American government is not a Democracy. A democracy is majority rule, not majority elections. Americans might have majority elections, but they don't have majority rule.

The American jury can nullify both the facts of a case, and the law surrounding it. When Americans decide they want to stop playing politics, they will bring their points to the local juries, and they will get what the local people want... essentially what the people want.

The  report of thecase includes the note: “Agreeably to this decision, it is now settled, that...jurors are in no way questionable for their finding.”

Thereafter,  juries  used  nullification  to  avoid  the  extremely  harsh penalties  of  serious  offenses  that  had  been  proved,  by  finding  the defendants  guilty  of  lesser  offenses. Blackstone  characterized  this practice of juries as “pious perjury.”

Later,  colonial  juries  nullified  British  law  in  prosecutions  that  the colonists  considered  to  be  unjust. For  example,  in  1735  John  Peter Zenger  was  prosecuted  for  seditious  libel  for  printing  a  journal  that criticized  the  colonial  governor  of  New  York  for  crimes  and  other faults. The common law rule at the time was that “the greater the truth, the   greater   the   libel, ”so   truth   was   not   a   defense   to   a   charge of   libel. When   Zenger’s   first   two   lawyers   were   disbarred   for zealously  representing  him,  Zenger  had  to  go  out  of  the  state  for  a lawyer  and  retained  Andrew  Hamilton  of  Philadelphia  (no  relation  to Alexander Hamilton).

Hamilton in  effect  admitted  that  Zenger  had  committed  the  facts constituting   the   offense. But,  without  using  the  phrase  “jury nullification,” Hamilton argued to the jury that they had the power to decide  the  law  as  well  as  the  facts,  and  that  they  should  disregard the judge’s  instructions  and  recognize  truth as  a  defense. The jury did so, and acquitted Zenger.

Why America's Founders Didn't Want a Democracy

When I took history and government in school, many critical issues were misrepresented, given short shrift, or even ignored entirely. And those lacunae undermined my ability to adequately understand many things. Randall Holcombe's new book, Liberty in Peril: Democracy and Power in American History, fills in some very substantial gaps, particularly with regard to American constitutionalism and how it has morphed from protecting liberty to advancing democracy at the expense of liberty. It does so with a host of novel and important insights rather than the disinterest generated by the books I suffered through in school.

Well, first of, depends on what party are you.
The impeachment will only stand when the Senate endorse the decision if the National Assembly of which there is a strong tendency that the Senate will at the end of the day up turn the decision of the lower chamber.

Clinton Impeachment 'Judge': Trump Impeachment Is "Phony"

The judge who investigated Bill Clinton, leading to his impeachment after the Monica Lewinsky scandal, declared this past weekend that the Democrats' impeachment of President Trump is 'phony'.

Judge Ken Starr told Fox News that the process against Trump will be remembered in the history books with a "footnote" or an "asterisk."

"There was a debate and there was a recorded vote. And that goes down in history. However… it's an impeachment with a footnote or with an asterisk. By the way it never went over to the Senate, which I think means it's a bit of a phony impeachment." Starr noted.

So far, everything has happened to move impeachment forward. The further the Dems go with impeachment, the worse the crash will be for them if they fail.

DREAM ON, Dems: Trump still hasn’t been impeached… not until Pelosi turns over the articles of impeachment to the U.S. Senate

Yesterday the evil, lawless Democrats thought they impeached President Trump. And then Nancy Pelosi, barely managing to keep her false teeth lodged inside her skull, decided she would just hold on to those articles of impeachment and refuse to submit them to the Senate for trial.

In doing this, it turns out that Nancy Pelosi just nullified the entire impeachment process so far. There has been no "impeachment" whatsoever, since the very definition requires the House to turn over the articles of impeachment to the Senate. Until that transfer takes place, no impeachment has happened.

Thus, President Trump hasn't been impeached, despite the lunatic dreams and celebrations of drooling, hate-filled Leftists who now seem to resemble the mud goblins from the first Lord of the Rings trilogy.

This has all become apparent in a stunning op-ed written by Harvard Law Professor Noah Feldman and surprisingly published by Bloomberg News. "According to the Constitution, impeachment is a process, not a vote," writes Feldman:

Impeachment as contemplated by the Constitution does not consist merely of the vote by the House, but of the process of sending the articles to the Senate for trial. Both parts are necessary to make an impeachment under the Constitution: The House must actually send the articles and send managers to the Senate to prosecute the impeachment. And the Senate must actually hold a trial.

If the House does not communicate its impeachment to the Senate, it hasn't actually impeached the president. If the articles are not transmitted, Trump could legitimately say that he wasn't truly impeached at all.

For the House to vote "to impeach" without ever sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate for trial would also deviate from the constitutional protocol. It would mean that the president had not genuinely been impeached under the Constitution; and it would also deny the president the chance to defend himself in the Senate that the Constitution provides.

Oops!

So Nancy Pelosi has actually, in a sense, un-impeached President Trump and reverted him back to un-impeached status. This will come as a huge surprise to the raging, insane Leftists who literally think Trump has been removed from office and is "no longer our president!"

Imagine the psychological shock of the reality check on that one. Not only is Trump still your president, you imbecile, but he hasn't even been impeached at all.

It's not even clear whether he ever will be impeached, since Nancy Pelosi's worst nightmare is that Trump might receive an actual fair trial in the Senate, during which he would have the right to call witnesses, cross-examine the prosecution's witnesses and face his accusers (whom Adam Schiff secretly protected from public scrutiny by burying their names and threatening anyone who might utter them). Thus, Pelosi seems to be caught in a catch-22, where Trump will never be impeached unless she releases the articles of impeachment, but Trump is almost certain to be found innocent if the trial proceeds in the Senate.

Pelosi, in other words, is right now chewing on a s##t sandwich, and it tastes just like losing the House majority in 2020.

As usual, it turns out that Democrats are incredibly stupid and yet somehow so dishonest that they're often caught up in their own stupid lies, usually with catastrophic results.
