Glenn Greenwald: Trump will have vast powers. He can thank Democrats for them.

Liberals are understandably panicked about what Donald Trump can carry out. "We have a president-elect with authoritarian tendencies assuming a presidency that has never been more powerful," Franklin Foer wrote this past week in Slate. Trump will command not only a massive nuclear arsenal and the most robust military in history, but also the ability to wage numerous wars in secret and without congressional authorization; a ubiquitous system of electronic surveillance that can reach most forms of human communication and activity; and countless methods for shielding himself from judicial accountability, congressional oversight and the rule of law — exactly what the Constitution was created to prevent. Trump assumes the presidency "at the peak of its imperial powers," as Foer put it.

Sen. Barack Obama certainly saw it that way when he first ran for president in 2008. Limiting executive-power abuses and protecting civil liberties were central themes of his campaign.

Trump does not deserve to be President of America. The opportunity it gave to Obama. He showed his cowardice and for the time while he was President was not able to weaken the main enemy of America is Russia. Let's see what Trump will do.

Yes that is right trump needs US. Like duterte needs philippines because they want to become a better future. For their lifes and children all is well just go with the honey moon period its only 6 months do it for good of the country just like duterte did to his country.  For a better country. Smiley
And who said that in the Philippines are right? Yes, the goal is correct, but the methods of achieving it is absolutely not acceptable. Such methods can lead to a worse situation than now is.

If Trump actually wins the elections on Tuesday, it will be a huge blow to the mainstream media. Never before the MSM has openly favored a political candidate, as they did with Hillary. Also, if Trump manages to win any of the deep-blue states (such as Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, and New Mexico), then the pollsters will lose all their credibility.

questionnaires never guarantee that there will be exactly as they were told. But of course if you win Trump many will be shocked. We just have to wait

In states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, the difference between the actual results and the opinion poll figures were almost 2-3 times the error margin. The pollsters have lost their credibility.
Who knows? May lost its credibility, and perhaps the reason in imperfection of the electoral legislation of America and the procedure of elections. I think what we witnessed massive rigging of the vote. And this is America!

Donald Trump's media summit was a 'f???ing firing squad'

"It was like a f−−−ing firing squad," one source said of the encounter.

"Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said, 'I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed,' " the source said.

"The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing-down," the source added.

A second source confirmed the fireworks.

"The meeting took place in a big boardroom and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks," the other source said.

"Trump kept saying, 'We're in a room of liars, the deceitful, dishonest media who got it all wrong.' He addressed everyone in the room, calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was [a] network of liars," the source said.

"Trump didn't say [NBC reporter] Katy Tur by name, but talked about an NBC female correspondent who got it wrong, then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when Hillary lost who hosted a debate — which was Martha Raddatz, who was also in the room."

Luckily, Trump has already finished its struggle for an armchair of the President. He lost and tomorrow it is only confirmed. Such person as he is not worthy of attention

You had the mainstream media (mostly owned by the Saudi and Qatari sheikhs) barking and blaring against Trump 24x7. I think this helped Trump to organize the counter-polarization of the white voters. Even the white women voted for Trump by a significant margin. He has proved that he is worthy of attention, and right now he is the most powerful man in the planet.

Political Ad Of The Year?

As Dilbert Creator Scott Adams exhalts "he did not disappoint. In my opinion, his final ad is the political ad of the year, if not the best ever."

Here's what Adams believes makes this ad so special...

1. Trump delivers his lines perfectly, like an experienced actor. We haven't heard him like this before. You probably didn't think he had this in him. He stays calm and assured, but not cocky. That is an effective counter-framing to Clinton's framing of Trump as an unpredictable madman. Here Trump comes off as perfectly reasonable and deeply empathetic.

2. The timing is perfect. This race went so low that even the trolls were starting to gasp for oxygen. Trump made us wait for relief – Hollywood style. He made us crave civility and sanity. And just when we thought it was out of reach, he goes ultra-positive. But here's the best part. Clinton has no good options to counter this message. If she stays dark, Trump finishes as the inspirational one. If she tries to match his positive message, she has little chance of doing it this well.

3. While Obama is out talking about his legacy, and Clinton is out talking about making history as the first woman president, Trump (the narcissist) asks for the American people's help in draining the swamp and making America great again. That's one heckuva contrast to end on.

Brexit seems to be his chant of the moment and he may well have something there. I'm sure there are plenty of people who feel like throwing a spanner in the works but aren't going to say it out loud to either pollsters or their nearest and dearest. When you're in the privacy of the voting booth you might spring a surprise.

I am routing for him even though it seems that he have a foul mouth.  Asking Hillary to do drug test before their next debate shows how serious he is and how clean he is.  He is not afraid of what people will say to him.  It is just he is, to himself, knows what he is capable of and that have nothing to hide.  America should try a new president.  A president who shows that he begets a respect since what he said came from her heart.

I like how he talks.  He is just being true, vocal, and straight to the point.  I cannot see anything wrong with his statement of having themselves into a drug test.  That is actually pretty cute.

If he wins this election, maybe the US will have some changes with the way it is how to be.  There would be changes in some ways that people of the US are tired of.  He was a businessman and knows how to manage a company and so it would be easy for him to manage and control the country.  It would be a clean government I think because he knows what gonna happen if there is something wrong on how he would manage it.

Hillary, having been an important government official for a long time now, has figuratively raped many people of many countries, including America.

If Trump ever acted inappropriately in a sexual way, it was only with a handful of people, and never really hurt any of them.

Both politicians are criticizing each other. Everyone against Trump is just trying to stack up the rape allegations which are coming each day and obviously fake as well as the "racist remarks", and everyone against Hillary is stacking up the Bill Clinton rape allegations along with everything else about her.

The biggest mistake of the Americans was that people like Trump can do to gain this number of votes. Such people can destroy America from the inside.
While im absolutely not saying that trump is a good candidate, have you looked into Hillary's background? She send classified emails over an unprotected server, Accepted millions of donations, for her "foundation". She is controlled by the people with the money, not the actual voters. Please don't act as Trump is the devil while hillary isnt much better.

This is soooo interesting. The Hillary group loses even if they win. Why?

Trump Pledges To Accept Election Day Result, If...

Donald Trump opened up a Thursday campaign rally in Delaware, Ohio touching on the most sensitive topic from last night: by saying he'll accept the results of the presidential election... as long as he wins.

"I will totally accept the result of this great and historic presidential election," Trump told supporters in Delaware, Ohio.

He then paused dramatically.

"If I win."

Read more and watch video at http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-20/trump-pledges-accept-election-day-result-if.

In other words, if Trump loses, he won't have any of those silly election laws to hold him back. He will push such an investigation into Hillery and her past, that she will have to be impeached, or the whole country will become so angry that they will uproot all the people in government for not impeaching her.

Trump knows that he has to continue to attack Clinton to have any chance of winning the election on November 8. That is the reason why many feel that he did so well at the second debate, and I think he will use the same tactic in the third and final debate on Wednesday. It really is amazing how well Trump is doing despite the negative ads he is getting from BOTH the Republicans and Democrats. If Trump had a united Republican base, he would be a much better position than he is now. Trump does make ridiculous statements, but his supporters don't seem to mind and want to see a non-politician in the White House.

Trump is too noisy lol But yeah he may have a good chance. People are pissed off of same face in government. People wants real change, something new in government and its his chance to present himself. Hillary has a long government service background plus a former President husband.Running a government for her is not new.

What I think is happening about Trump is just a strategy to always keep attention off him whenever there is a blow on his campaign then he comes up with the attack strategy and shifts attention to the opponent anyways, they are both politicians whether one is coming from a business background. But the issue is that whether in business or government it is a different ball game entirely and even decisions that will be taken, each and every one of them wont do it differently for those hoping for policies change if Trump wins, I dont see that happening because when he has the facts and exposure those who took the decisions had then, I doubt if he will do differently... Americans its in your hands...

The new definition for the word "trumpetting" is, going to Trump rallies where Trump going to be, just to pet him a little.

The old definition (which is still being used) is when Trump, himself, acts like a brass wind musical instrument. (Of course, we won't go into what it is when Trump, himself, uses the new definition.)

Even Hillary uses the old definition.

Just Trump being Trump once again. As a non-american, i would be happy to see him win the election, it would be better than any reality show.
Recently when he apologized for that "anti feminine" talk with his friend, he lost the last chance for the win tho (the best chance he had was to be who he is, crazy and opened)

Having Trump win,we will expect more policies changes maybe. He is very different from Clinton who serve government for a long time.Though I am very cautious on him, but seems American people lik him and wanted changes also.Someone who is new and come from different background - a businessman. Trump Calls For Drug Tests Before Third Debate

"I think she's actually getting pumped up, you want to know the truth. She's getting pumped up you understand. In fact, we're gonna be talking about that in a few minutes. She's getting pumped up for Wednesday night."

"We're like athletes right. Athletes, they make them take a drug test, right. I think we should take a drug test prior to the debate. Why don't we do that? We should take a drug test, prior, because I don't know what's going on with her, but at the beginning of her last debate, she was all pumped up at the beginning, and at the end it was like, 'Oh, take me down,' " Trump said, imitating Clinton.

"She could barely reach her car, so I think we should take a drug test'"

Trump said he was willing to take drug test. The GOP nominee often raises questions about whether Clinton has the stamina and strength to serve as president.
