Do you really beleive that Trump cares about Bitcoin and that he will stand for it? I don't think so. In his basics he's very conservative and so he will be his attitude towards Bitcoin too. Don't expect impossible.

I were trying to understand the connection with Trump possible president and bitcoin, but im pretty sure there is nothing to connect as besides both have their strong ideas, and being new there isnt any relation, or do you think he will allow bitcoin or legalize it?

I can't imagine why it would have an effect on Bitcoin. If anything, his rhetoric and the GOP party line generally suggests that we would generally lose civil liberties under Trump. Where we lose those liberties -- very hard to say.

But doubtful that Bitcoin has much to do with it. We're just not big enough yet.

I agree with your comments absolutely. If the Trump is elected, the America will be like 1930s Germany.

I don't think there'd be an instant and direct effect but Donald said he was gonna turn on the printing presses. even if no new people come in, you might enjoy some wealth preservation all the same.

I think if he did win he'd make an awful lot of noise but not a lot else would happen. the wheels of government and finance turn slowly and they're not going to jump to one blowhard's tune.

I haven't seen this talked about much (but forgive me if it's been beaten to death already).

If the US ends up with Trump as President, do you think that would be good for bitcoin?

Economic turmoil or more specifically currency risk (especially of the Dollar) could cause many to flee to Bitcoin along with other currencies?

Any thoughts on this one?

I don't know about the past of Donald Trump but somehow I believe that he is not the right man to be the next president. On many comments on social medias says that Trump and Putin have similar preferences etc(search on google for "trump and putin news"). And since in Russia was(or still is) bitcoin banned then they will try also maybe to close bitcoin companies etc.

Well, there are agenda this candidate are going to push thru, did you see anywhere on his agenda that he be backing bitcoin?  That turmoil they are saying about to happen when Trump is elected as president  will give boost to bitcoin is just an speculation, meaning no basis or backbone.  So as for me unless Trump pass a law on supporting bitcoin, it will never have an impact to Bitcoin if he win.

I think you may be right. Trump is not a politician and he has no clue how to run a country.

He is using sensation and saying only what people want to hear to get his points up.
A boom for bitcoin might be the only positive thing that comes from it if he becomes president.

Trump should be dumped, if you asked my opinion. The leader of a first world country should not be a reality series celebrity. This guy will hurt the USA more than any other leader before him, because he speaks through his ass. I watched a few of his speeches and his arrogance and intelligence has much to be desired.

I cannot see any positive things coming from this, if he is elected as president of the USA. Bitcoin will be the last thing, they would have to worry about, if he succeeds. ^hmmmm^

There will be some short term impact, but i don`t think that it won`t be that strong.

If Trump makes some wrong decisions as a president, this might have a huge impact over bitcoin.

I`m not sure if the impact is going to be positive or negative.

The basis for your understanding must be legit and valid. It is wrong to judge a person without further basis.

If trump will win it is unknown if bitcoin will benefit or not. Election and bitçoin has no direct relationship with each other.

We can only say that trump is good for bitcoin industry is when he win he will promote the use of bitcoin to America. Without that it is impossible to say that presidency is beneficial to bitcoins.

Well his opposition is riding the bitcoin wave. Hillary Clinton is toting in as someone has posted about her speech regarding endorsing bitcoin in her campaign. That will garner her more votes from the y geners out there  Wink

No one can say for sure. Bitcoin may raise or drop or stay the same, it coincide with other factors. Look at brexit, did it have any impact on the price of BTC or no? No one can tell for sure.

I don't care if bitcoin went to a million dollars,  I don't want Trump as prez.  And I agree with the others who said there shouldn't be any relationship between who wins and the price of bitcoin.

If that fucker wins we're all screwed, you mark my words.

I think election of new USA president will effect on price of bitcoin somehow, don't know will it be good or bad, but affect surely will be. I don't think this effect will be long, maybe just fast up or down and stabilizing in nearly feature.

well of course the price is going to be affected, in my opinion if trump gets elected (even though i really doubt that) the bitcoin price is going to go up fast

On the one hand you will see a declining dollar value, because a lot of people and countries will have doubts about his presidency and the future of the country... some might even use Bitcoin for capital

flight, if things goes south and the economy takes a dive for the worst. During the election stages a lot of misinformation are spread and people make empty promises. I am not saying Hilary or anyone

else will be a better choice... because in my opinion ... both are bad.  Roll Eyes

I doubt there would be much real feedback from that event, but that doesn't mean people wouldn't try to make some hype out of it..
In cases of certain fiat currency losing value, the majority will jump to another one, rather than to invest into bitcoin (which is still very unknown to many of them)

The real "shot" bitcoin has in politics are instances of political campaigns being financed in part with bitcoin donations. Now that's something that could have
a loud boom if it starts to be a trend amung the political candidates accross the world. And i find it very likely to happen eventually.

It would be quite wild if either candidate (US or any G8 country) would simply acknowledge bitcoin with a mention. Obviously we'd love for the mention to be positive but sometimes any press is good press.

I beg to differ and I want to ask that what is the relationship between Donald Trump winning election and Bitcoin probably OP should explain to me in clear terms because I don't understand as the two are completely unrelated from my own point of view. Its like comparing what happen in basketball to relationship in real estate... My 2 cents...

Beg and you shall receive.

Bitcoin's speculation is theorized to be correlated to the economic success of different countries. For example, when Cyprus currency was frozen there was an immediate bump to bitcoin. A lot of people speculated that people in Cyprus and other countries converted their fiat to bitcoin because of that country's currency crisis.

Separately, a lot of people think if Donald Trump is elected US President that the US economy will be troubled. That Trump will be so brazen and risky that he'll put the US at risk, and therefore their business, economy, and currency.

My hunch or question is that if Trump were elected and it does end up a causing harm to the US economy and the value of the Dollar falls will people in the US look to bitcoin as a safe haven for their currency?

I think the connection is a lot more related than basketball and real estate...what do others think?

Btw, you don't need to quote the OP when you're the first person to respond to the OP.

Unless one of the candidates passes some law in relation to BTC I don't think it really matters who wins.
I don't think either candidate winning will cause the dollar to change value much.
And even if it did, would it effect Bitcoin price?

I know some people point to Brexit as being one of the reasons BTC increased in price,
but its very hard to say since the reward got cut in half at the same time...
