If Iran wanted to eliminate any of them because of the terrorist attack they carried out back in January 2020, they would have been eliminated 5 years ago and nobody could have prevented that. Just like they couldn't prevent their CIA operatives on a highly classified mission being eliminated in their jet with the then classified missile 358 over Afghanistan airspace or prevent the commander of Red Horse squadron Lt. Col. Willis from being turned into dust in an airstrike in Qatar or prevent the other 39 military officials that carried out that terrorist attack to be eliminated back then. 
What Trump did recently was to cut an unnecessary cost at a time where US regime has run out of money and is up to its neck in debt.
The propaganda that they're spreading these days is just the "deep state" trying to build the groundwork for when they want to eliminate Trump or anyone else who they don't like and then blame a foreign agent. Something I predicted back on August of 2022 and they've already tried it last year and failed but want to try again in case Trump doesn't fall in line...
