I was expecting the Executive order on Bitcoin reserved to be signed on the first day. My prediction was that the price would get to $120k after the EO. Expectations are still high within these few days.
You were expecting a infamous celebrity salesman, who has hard time speaking truth to care about his promises?

I scammed everyone with his meme token, which in press conference said that “I don’t know much about it…".
Girl, i wish one couldn't get any more corrupt then this, but i am holding the beer while president goes ahead and tries.

Many were expecting the same including me that he will take about the executive order on bitcoin but later after the end of his inauguration day speech, I though we were expecting too much on the first day, he has become the president of the America and not a president of Bitcoin  Cheesy

Anyways, at least he is trying to do what he promised during his campaign, that is already something remarkable from a politicians nowadays.

He also promised for a bitcoin reserve, so let's see when this promise will be fulfilled  Cool

Today I saw a video on YouTube about Trump taking questions from the press while signing executive orders, it was posted on the YT channel of Forbes.
The one which most caught my attention was his attempt to end birth-given citizenship for people who is born in the United States, quite controversial, but expected.

I suppose the Republican party (under the leadership of Trump) will try to push the Supreme Court of the country to see whether they can rule in favor of Trump over the common people of the USA, specially those which are from immigrant families.

Anyways, at least he is trying to do what he promised during his campaign, that is already something remarkable from a politicians nowadays.

200 executive orders for Trump's first couple of days... writers cramp.

Executive orders can be nullified one way or another - Biden's Pardons Are Worthless.

One way or another, lawmakers can get around EO's.

Cool
The judiciary is another tool to fight these Executive orders. There are already court cases to challenge Trump's Executive Orders.

Do we have a Bitcoin strategic reserve order in these 200 executive orders? I know the order can be nullified later but just by signing the BTC reserve signing order and till the time some authority nullify it, we will have big push in the bitcoin prices.  Smiley

I read he’s about to sign a very friendly crypto executive order on day one. Could be BS but hopefully true. Original source is The Washington Post but it’s behind a pay to read sub.

It was a hoax (at least for the time being), it didn't happen, creating some disappointment among the crypto holders who gave him a vote on the basis that he is pro-crypto.  Sad

Otherwise, a bear period for the price could come ahead of us. The justice of the United States has already received a green light to sell over 6 Billion of US Dollars, as part of the Money confiscated to the previous webmaster of Silk Road back in the day, such selling pressure and the fears of Trump not putting anything on the Table which has nothing to do with Bitcoin and the opening of a strategic reserve are big problems if we want to see this bull market to continue past the mark of 110k per coin.
To me it the timing is very strange, as if the SEC or the Federal Reserve did not want Donald Trump to be president of the country and at the same time to hold such a fortune in Bitcoin.
Anyways, if a bear market is ahead of us, all we can do is hodl and accumulate through the year. Same old good plan.
The Joe Biden government has just a few days to step aside and there has been no information that they intend to sell off the coins. The government should have started the process of liquidation since the administrative process takes some time. By now the U.S. Marshals Service should have started the process of auctioning the coins. Even if the coins are sold I don't think we will go into bear market outrightly. I predict that the market will recover after some time. Bitcoin will still do well without the strategic reserve but the price might not go as high as expected if Trump fulfills his promise.

From what I can tell about executive order, they are instant law declared by the president of a country as granted in the constitution which needs not the approval of the legislatures or even a judge to take effect. And despite that I may not have a very deep knowledge about the USA constitution, using that of my country from which many of the constitutional provisions were borrowed for that of the US constitution, I think the president has the power to enforce an executive order on certain matters as necessary, and in any case, executive orders are rarely taken down.

...I just hope that making Bitcoin a reserve currency will be part of the 100 executive orders Donald Trump will sign within his first hundred days in office.

Executive orders can be overturned by the president, Congress, or the Court. It could also be modified based on the deliberation of the members of the Congress. An executive order can be enforced without the input of Congress or the backing of the court. In my country, the court has ruled that some executive orders violate the constitution and were overturned. I just hope that making Bitcoin a reserve currency will be part of the 100 executive orders Donald Trump will sign within his first hundred days in office.

It's gone up. It was only 75 or so. Do you think he will get writer's cramp from this? Lol. Will he find any more in these last few days before he takes office?

Note that the problem with this is, the American people are being 'groomed' to start accepting the President as a king through his Executive Orders.

As far as I know executive orders can be taken down by judges which have enough authority in the federal level. It reminds me the ban Trump wanted to impose on people coming from muslin majority countries and it was ended quickly enough by some judge who deemed the whole thing to be against the constitution of the United States. One must wonder how many of those Executive orders could be taken down as unconstitutional.

What is an executive order .
Quote
The legal or constitutional basis for executive orders has multiple sources. Article Two of the United States Constitution gives presidents broad executive and enforcement authority to use their discretion to determine how to enforce the law or to otherwise manage the resources and staff of the executive branch.

However, being realistic, I am very sure Trump will get away with anything related to making people to get back to work to their offices and also anything related to oil extraction within the country, after all energy independence was quite one of the most important talking points and narratives he had to offer through the campaign rallies across the nation.
So, It is expected to see fuel going a little bit down in price this year and the USA not participating in anything related to climate change.

Trump To Sign Around 100 Executive Orders Upon Taking Office

Mullin did not go into details, however Trump has previously said he would sign a variety of border and immigration-related EOs following his second inauguration, including a national emergency over illegal immigration - and rolling back 'climate agenda' regulations surrounding drilling for oil and natural gas.

"I will sign Day One orders to end all Biden restrictions on energy production, terminate his insane electric vehicle mandate, cancel his natural gas export ban, reopen ANWR in Alaska—the biggest site, potentially anywhere in the world—and declare a national energy emergency," Trump said in December.

According to Trump transition spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, "The American people can bank on President Trump using his executive power on day one to deliver on the promises he made to them on the campaign trail."

Bloomberg reports that Trump will put a hiring freeze on the government, and mandate that federal employees return to the office for in-person work, a position pushed by billionaire Elon Musk as part of the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

In recent weeks, the Trump team has been working behind-the-scenes to make sure its initial months are as productive as possible. While chief of staff Susie Wiles has said she views the first 100 days as an artificial metric, she and the entire Trump team see the first two years — before midterm elections could imperil Republican majorities in the House and Senate — as the best opportunity for the term-limited incoming president to achieve his sweeping goals. -Bloomberg

That said, as Mullin noted further in an appearance on Fox & Friends, EOs can easily be undone by future administrations.

"As he said, it's not permanent," said Mullin. "I would like reconciliation so we can start making this stuff into legislation, so we can move forward."

"The president was very clear, he wants results," Mullin continued. "He said he can wait if we can do one big, beautiful bill. He'd like to have one big, beautiful, beautiful bill. But if the House were to get bogged down, maybe we have to divide it up in two."
