I personally have felt through this entire joint session Trump put himself forward as the person who is going to be bringing the country together as one and had many points that both sides of the aisle could agree that they have to fix and support.....

That's accurate, although I'm not sure much of the Left understood or cared.

While I will concur this was a much softer tone from Trump, there are still a few looming issues that were not addressed during his speech. Which I must admit, I did not expect to be so eloquent (props given were due). So, what about the travel ban? The results have been disastrous so far. Not only have we given ISIS more rhetoric to spew, we have managed to alienate some of our Middle Eastern friends with this decidedly unfriendly action. We finally heard a denouncement of the attacks on our Jewish community, as well as a denouncement of the general uptick of hate crimes. Again, props given. But this was on the heels of him stating that the sudden rash of anti Semitic threats could be a false flag. I'm all about moving forward, but when the tone changes so abruptly, I have to wonder what has changed so suddenly.

And Russia goddammit, Russia.

I personally have felt through this entire joint session Trump put himself forward as the person who is going to be bringing the country together as one and had many points that both sides of the aisle could agree that they have to fix and support. His tone was wonderful, much softer then usual and he didn't go off task like he was prone to do on the campaign trail.

You could also see that he didn't take the bait by the Democrats who wouldn't stand for him at certain points and he didn't call them out on any of these things, this is a massive improvement then the Donald J Trump that we knew as the Republican nominee and the Donald on the campaign trail. He still has that same fire and love for the country that he displayed before though, that has not changed in the least.

Very heartfelt Join Session, would love to hear what everyone thinks about it on here.
