It'll be deleted if someone actually links to a CP site. Like "this person runs xxxxx.onion!".

Yea but like anything there needs to be some sort of line, what if someone was to post trust on your thread linking you to a child porn site saying you were the owner then called the FBI on you? Or is someone going to have to do that to the staff on this board to have that sort of thing fixed?

That would be deleted, of course.

Trust isn't viewable by people who aren't logged in, and untrusted ratings are hidden by default even for logged-in users, so you needn't really worry about nonsense ratings hurting your reputation.

Thank you Theymos

Do you really think something like this would happen? Why would the FBI or other agency be interested in some random fabricated claim on your trust page?

Bitcoin and underground type markets do get the attention of feds, I do not want to find out is what I am saying and I think the board does need to draw some sort of a line when it comes to these things.  This pick and choose what and when we want to do it type shit needs to stop. Childporn references of any type should be banned if it be in a trust comment or post.

Can you please ask this person to provide proof this, or remove the trust rating. I do not need the FBI taking my computer cause of some fucking idiot on the boards. Thanks

As mprep explained, the whole trust system is unmoderated, and you can find fake feedback anywhere.
For example, you can check theymos trust summary to see a sea of fake negative feedback. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=35 Cheesy

In a world of peaches, don't ask for apple sauce
Trust feedback is unmoderated, except for some cases where it can be considered obvious spam (advertising, lots of identical feedback, random words/chars).

Think this kind of thing should be made a exeption of this that could cause legal ramifications. This type of shit will drive users away.

rhandom 0: -0 / +0(0) 2014-03-27 127.00000000  I was able to crash his site in 30 seconds. Check the logs... error 500 and 503. I also ran a little SQL injection and got his database name. An easy hack... but hey I think I'm going to make a site where people can advertise their ponzis without all the static interference. And I will offer offshore hosting so they can do it without issue. It's all thanks to you, we owe you Smiley and it will be great to run without interference. yeah... you see I have an offshore Panama website host and a few sites.. going to approach the ponzi sites about transfering their domains. Guess maybe you should play inside your league, not against the big boys. Oh don't worry I wont tell anyone you offered pedophile pics to certain members for extra btc deposits.

Seems more like a confession to a crime. From another perspective, it is a comment on the security of your site.
