I don't know the criteria that were used to rate these countries as the most trusted countries. I think most of them deserve the status since they have less corruption in their countries. But Switzerland, to me, shouldn't be on the list based on the relationship the Swiss Bank had with some corrupt politicians in my country. Swiss Bank assisted some criminal politicians in laundering millions of dollars to Switzerland. I am sure the bank knew that those funds were stolen, but they decided to shield corrupt politicians.
Apart from trust we also want the service, so sometimes even if we are lacking in researched we can't help but to use the service immediately. About the criteria for a country to get picked as the most trusted, like you I also think it's about their government if it's corrupt or not, and then secondly; is if these countries have unsettled debts or not. There must only be a mistake there when the OP included Switzerland in the list.
