It will be easier if there is a wallet that can be trusted to store two types at once, such as an unstoppable wallet. Of course, don't store it in large quantities.
I just hear that unstoppable wallet, and probably won't try it even just have a few.
For large quantities, I won't keep it in the software wallet (electrum and metamask), I will definitely keep it in the hardware wallet even if must spend a few dollars.

Undoubtedly, if Metamask is open source, it is one of the best altcoin wallets. But not supporting many other coins too. It does not support the coins that have their own blockchain without been a token. Although Metamask can support their pegged versions.
at least have the 2 big blockchains, such as erc20 and bep20, those blockchains are enough for me. and almost an average of altcoins use those 2 blockchains.

I recommend you to avoiding Guarda wallet as you may end up with the same A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised.
I too will say something like this. For bitcoin, Guarda wallet only support the legacy type of bitcoin address. Nothing like nested segwit, native segwit and pay-to-taproot.  Atomic wallet at that time and as of now, it is only supporting legacy address too. It is good for developers to be active and do what are the latest.

I can list many coins that Guarda is not also supporting. If there is any doubt, you can ask me to list the coins. And they are common coins.

In this case, I used Electrum for Bitcoin and Metamask for Altcoin. Both wallets were installed and not so much space.
Undoubtedly, if Metamask is open source, it is one of the best altcoin wallets. But not supporting many other coins too. It does not support the coins that have their own blockchain without been a token. Although Metamask can support their pegged versions.

AFAIK trust Wallet is not completely open source whereas Mycelium is however this is not safe for storing cryptos for long period as I said earlier cause it is prone to attacks also user feedback of mycelium android is not great cause it is filled with a lot of glitches and even many people claimed that they can't see their balance even after enough confirmations.
I even know Mycelium to support bitcoin, ether and ERC20 tokens. I have not seen it supporting others like TRC20, BEP2, BEP20, solana, arbitrium, optimism, polygon and their tokens and others.

I do not know why there is no diligence in developing an open source multi-currency wallet, but even those that claim to be open source will be far from closed source wallets and will not get the same features.
As mentioned above, Unstoppable wallet is one. But not having some coins as of now and can not be used for staking. There is no desktop version for now too.

Trust wallet is not open source, and even the code that appears for part of the wallet is not the code that you are currently downloading, so it cannot be trusted.
https://wallet.mycelium.com/ It is a good wallet, but it is for Bitcoin only, and I do not think that it supports any altcoins.

I always separate between bitcoin and altcoin wallet.
I used a wallet that can use for Bitcoin only because I am not restful if compound it.
In this case, I used Electrum for Bitcoin and Metamask for Altcoin. Both wallets were installed and not so much space.
Something that is not wrong if done. There is a separation between the two.
Bitcoin are stored in wallets that specifically support Bitcoin and use other wallets to store altcoins.
It will be easier if there is a wallet that can be trusted to store two types at once, such as an unstoppable wallet. Of course, don't store it in large quantities.

If storing Bitcoin in the Electrum wallet, I also recommend it because it's a proven wallet.
It would be even better to use a hardware wallet in order to further increase comfort.

This way is the most comfortable for me when I compare it to installing a wallet that I don't trust yet.
Including Trust Wallet.
Wallets to avoid for storing coins.

Has anyone tried Mycelium wallet?  If ain't wrong here it is an open-source wallet the same as the Trustwallet.
Trust wallet is not open source, even though they lie on their website that they are, they were open source in the past but they moved to closed source in 2018, so they have been closed source for a long time now and they are also owned by Binance, so trust wallet is not trusted.

I have never used Mycelium, they are open source but not recommended, because i have read many negative things about this wallet, and they even advertised scam websites. Op should just get a good BTC wallet, either Electrum, Sparrow or BlueWallet for their BTC and get another altcoin wallet like Unstoppable wallet for altcoins.

I didn't try this wallet but I think they're almost the same features as the Trust wallet.

Buying a hardware wallet is a good option in this case.
That's the best option especially if you're planning to hold it for a long time.
Because IMO, these mobile wallets seems like hot wallet not intended for cold storage.

I didn't try this wallet but I think they're almost the same features as the Trust wallet.

Guarda wallet is also a noncustodial, open-sourced wallet that supports 50+ coins also with purchase features with multiple options so it is a good alternative for trust wallet but keep in mind it is not safe as other types of wallet since the device we install this wallet has to be connected with internet to access the assets which make them vulnerable to attacks.
It's not open source bro

Just because they said it in the past does not mean it's true. Such outdated articles on the internet can be so misleading

But when you try to look for the source code, you will end up getting nothing about it.

If in doubt, Walletscrutiny.com can be helpful.

Probably unstoppable wallet.
You are extremely fast 😄😄😄😄 thank you 💕
I also agree with what OmegaStarScream has said that unstoppable wallets are good enough to be used as wallets that can store more than one coin.
So far, the unstoppable wallet is worthy of being a recommended wallet for users who want to store more than 1 crypto coin.
Apart from being easy and convenient, I think this wallet is reliable.

Unstoppable already supports 4 types of Bitcoin addresses, namely BIP 44 (Legacy), BIP 49 (SegWit), BIP 84 (Native Segwit), BIP 86 (Taproot).

^^Sorry for the wrong information, I haven't checked the wallet for years since not really a fan of using the multi crypto wallets so just only noticed the changes made in the source code which is no more public since 2021 if I am not wrong so as you guys said it's not the best alternative to another closed source.

So what are the existing multi crypto wallets?

I tried to download this wallet, they claim to be an open source wallet by putting GitHub link, but looking at the code it is archived and therefore the code that is launched on the Google Play store is closed source https://github.com/guardaco/guarda-android-wallets

I haven't checked desktop code, but being is open source (and I doubt it) doesn't mean it's safe Guarda wallet need a lot of developers to check and review the code and not Excellent Score 4.6 on TrustPilot.

I recommend you to avoiding Guarda wallet as you may end up with the same A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised.

unstoppable wallet is a good wallet but sometimes it is better to use multiple wallets than one combined wallet, you have various options for bitcoin and Ethereum, so you guarantee all ERC20. So use Electrum/samourai for bitcoin, NEW for Ethereum, and unstoppable wallet for other altcoins.

Buying a hardware wallet is a good option in this case.

Are you sure it's open-source? Last time I check, the software was proprietary. I hope you're not talking about the single-currency wallets which were all archived a couple of years ago, because those don't quality (and there is apparently only an Android version of that apparently).

This is not a security concern unless you are either making your transaction or the server somehow logs your password (extraordinarily strange, but stranger things have happened to Atomic Wallet).

Probably unstoppable wallet[1][2]. I have been using it for quite some time, and I never had any problems with it, maybe with the exception of "slow syncing" time but that's only for bitcoin's blockchain.
