trust means nothing, and if you are honest you can do your business (sells) on the forum even with a brand new account. as Rockie1234 explained what an escrow is, you use one for every trade you make no matter if you have 0 trust or green trust. that way there is never any problem (well to be exact there is always a small risk like escrow running away but that is nothing to worry about)
And it goes the other way, too.  Look at my trust page and you'll see the dozens and dozens of people who've left me negatives, and I've done business with ZERO of them.  Some of them make pretty specific claims about very specific amounts of bitcoin--and they're all lies.  All of my red feedback is retaliatory for negs I've left account dealers.  My positive feedback (except for Vod's and cpfreeplz's) are from people I've actually done deals with.

But I definitely agree about not trusting people with green trust.  I learned that the hard way with Timsweat.  There are definitely users I trust and that I would send bitcoin to first.  Few of them, but they do exist.  You're going to have to figure it out for yourself, though.  I hope your tuition isn't as expensive as mine was and a lot of people here's was.

If you are asking how to gain trust then you should be trusted at all in terms of selling or giving out service or any other means which involves interactions or transactions with other users and seeing on the rank you have people would really hard to trust you for the very first time.

Green trust ratings are only good for the account sellers and nothing else. Don't go trade blindly with green trusted users.

Trust ratings are only helpful if they are colored RED. That means you should stay away. If its green, it doesn't make the user scam free automatically.

Trust is build over time. You are a newbie here and no matter how honest and sincere you are people will refer to you as a scammer. Spend time here developing your account and make friends from there you can bring business. The escrow to me the risk may be too high as I always think, dubious one may run with my money and abandons there account as it easy to open a new one here.

Because you're a newbie, people will be suspicious and less likely to trade with you. They would therefore expect you to send money first. The best thing to do is use an escrow from this forum (there are threads offering this service). In escrow, a third-party (very trusted/legendary member) will hold both your money and the bitcoin being sold, and then send it. They often charge a small fee.
If you have successful trades, people can choose to leave positive trust on your profile, which increases your trust rating.

I've heard of this place before, never gave it a glance until now but I guess I probably should have. I've been scammed a couple of times already trying to buy BTC.

Thoughts on who and who not to trust?

Is there anyone in here you're suspicious of?

How can I build my trust/reputation level so others will know it won't be me to scam them?
