You may try Alpha Wallet [1] then, open source and supports all evm chains, use custom option for chains not already there.

[1] https://alphawallet.com/
I downloaded and tried it but unfortunately it only gives one single address by wallet/seed to receive funds like Trust wallet such cryptos? unfortunately, in addition it only offers few blockchains to activate, and when you try to settle other ones like Dogecoin, Litecoin or Waves it doesn't give receiving address in the official format, only in hexadecimal one. So how do you use this wallet with such cryptos?

Yes, it's EVM only wallet, I assumed from your previous responses that you were looking for an EVM wallet, hence suggested it. And yes, it's one address per seed, although it's easy to generate new addresses (by clicking '+' icon) but might be troublesome to save all these seeds.

Bolded cryptos shouldn't be there in first place since it's EVM only, for those and other cryptos even I'm looking for all-in-one wallet kinda alternative too after the fall of Coinomi lately.

The logo has become blue and a little green above the right in the update. Now I no longer update that closed source wallet app.
Because I never open it anymore, when I open the Play Store there are two options, either Uninstall or Activate.

TrustWallet is not the wallet of choice to use for storing assets. Apart from being closed source, TrustWallet gets into trouble often enough that we can rightly call it an untrustworthy wallet for asset storage.
You're maybe right but do you know other multi-currencies wallets allowing you to simply connect and use Web3 DApps through WalletConnect(v2.0+) with them? TrustWallet works fine and is user-friendly for those use cases.
Oh, I see?. If TrustWallet works well and is user friendly for the case you mentioned, please use it. But I differ from your view of TrustWallet.
So far I no longer want to use it and no longer want to deal with TrustWallet even though TrustWallet may have focused on web3 DApps.

Why don't you use Metamask extension on your phone with extension supported browser? I have been using it since long, and it works for all needs. You won't need walletconnect, since every dapp supports Metamask, you'll be able to connect normally.

I assume you are on android, you can use: Kiwi/Lemur/Mask/Mises, search respective name on play store.
If I was ready to use an extension, I would use it directly on my desktop computer, because it's more convenient to use a large screen and a physical keyboard than a smartphone like an ape. Roll Eyes

I'm offended.

But I'm scared by it, because plugins can steal sensitive datas like passwords and display misleading informations like fake recipient/deposit addresses for example. And even if a plugin is safe, it can be hacked one day. So I prefer to use a standalone app for connecting Web3 dApps and validating transactions from the dApp. In addition I can check all interactions, I am sure there won't be hidden interactions in the background with the plugin.

I just wanted to add this here. May it could help for follow up.

I have a trustwallet app on my old Android phone. Not that I use it, but recently I decided to update all the apps in that phone, including trustwallet. When I saw the new changes like the logo after the update. I decided to open the app. Trust me, I failed to log into the app even with the correct credentials I had.

Then a few days back I updated the app again and without changing anything, I managed to log in. I think there was a problem with the previous update, and I don't think I can ever trust that closed source wallet.
Yes bro, I saw that. I had the nice surprise when I updated the app to be able to use it again as before without needing to delete it and to reinstall all the blockchain/token stuff.

Hello
Does anyone else have an issue with the new version (8+) of Trust wallet when using dApps ?
When I connect to some dApps the first screen to approve the connexion pops up as usual but then when I am using the dApps I don't receive any prompts to confirm any transaction anymore. When I check in the WaletConnect section I see the dApps are connected to my wallet, but I don't receive anything from them whatever I do expect the connection confirmation when I try to connect them. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? I specify that right before the upgrade of the wallet everything was working fine.

I specify that right before the upgrade of the wallet everything was working fine.
It's been a while ain't used this wallet but as I remember before when I was actively investing in altcoins, it seems I encountered the same as your problem.  So after their system updates this is what I did, I cleared the app data and cache can help solve an issue like this, or log out of your account and uninstall the app, reinstall, and log in again.  In that way, seems like you refreshing the app and your account, and their system will work well at your end.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the app this is what advised me the chatbot (powered by GPT) from their so called "support" but I have several tokens from blockchains and layer2 networks(Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, Gnosis chain,...) that I add to set up manually because there were not available and it bores me to look for their set up somewhere on internet and to enter them one by one again while I am not sure it will solve the issue. So finally I have installed Metamask on my smartphone, set up the most important tokens I need to use on it and I'm using them through the Wallet Connect feature. They say it's an "experimental" feature but it works very well for me. I hope an update will fix those bugs soon though.

The update shouldn't be that complicated that you need to do so many steps in order to use the dapps. I haven't been using the trust wallet much after i came to know about the disadvantages of using the closed source software, however i still have trust wallet on phone with some altcoins still lying there.
However this update seems to be quite a major one and it changes the icon and the interface for the app.
The app is totally revamped.

I just checked out the trustwallet's ratings page on Google Play store and it seems the new update is buggy and unstable with lots of people complaining after the update ranging from not being able to login, vanished transaction histories to not displaying tokens though they were initially visible in the old version. So, I think you are not the only one affected by some bugs after the update.

Does this problem apply to all dapps? Have you tried revoking all authorization permissions to dapps connected to the wallet?
Some dapps implement remembering your connected session, making it possible to approve all interaction activities automatically after the first authorization approval. As far as I remember, compound finance dapp applies this mechanism. cmiiw

I assume you already tried to follow the building documentation here: https://developer.trustwallet.com/wallet-core/developing-the-library/building

It seems it should be as simple as downloading the docker image and building within the docker image:
https://developer.trustwallet.com/wallet-core/developing-the-library/building#building-inside-docker-image

or apparently there is a prebuilt version in the docker image, if you just want to play around with it:
Executing inside Docker image

The Docker image also contains a pre-built, runnable version of the library, so it is possible to run it, 'toy around' with it without any building. Note: this may not be the most recent version!

I would like to install and test on a brand new VPS (preferably CentOS 7 or CentOS Cool the TrustWallet core https://github.com/trustwallet, (especially the cli interface). I have tried with various methods, but it looks like I could not manage to do it.
Does anyone have a step by step guide on how to install it? Or, if somebody could help me install it, I would be more than happy to give SSH access to the server. I know, I know, it is not advised to give SSH access to a stranger, but I am not interested in the security of this server, it is an empty VPS and I will definitely wipe everything in a few days. Once installed, I would only play with some commands on the cli interface, would never use it live, it is just for learning purposes.

Any advise, comment is welcome. Thank you.
