It's actually not surprising hearing and reading this about media when the fact that they're fooling us for a long time. And yeah they're not alone with this as they're just actually the puppet of the government or some influence people trying to hide the truth in anything that they didn't want or agree with. And crypto for them is big threat that needed to die before it gets too late for them to control, because of cryptos being decentralized the least that they can do is to regulate or ban it but the fact that they're too eager to have full control with it. Well, these will just be their a far fetch dream.

Well, that's real world for you. This is the reality that we all have to live by and accept. We as people who already know this fact and have realized it already must spread awareness more not only to our loved ones and friends but also to strangers and use the social media sites to our advantage so that a lot of people will be aware of this and will be able to know what to do whenever they encounter something of the like. It is truly an advantage to know more or see the deeper picture out of anything. Let us not be selfish and share the benefits and one day, I know that we will all get more out of the benefits that are pretty worth the effort of sharing the information knowledge we already have. -See the bigger picture.

Your observations are the same as mine, the governments and the elite force of the existing financial system are using the mainstream media to spread illussion that crypto is illegal and scam, they are doing that because they are against the decentralization which means no tax for the government and the banking system is not needed anymore as well as some other financial system that acting as middleman in a financial transaction.

Yes, it's correct. The mainstream media has not been unbiased and fair, in any country, the mainstream media is always a servant dog of those who had the money and the connections, they act and move based on the directives they receive from their master, and since the banks and the governments are against the decentralization bought by the Bitcoin, they will the media to create an illusion that Bitcoin is illegal. To hell with them!

most of it is not just media.. but people

with media they are not researching/ checking/investigating, they are just "reporting" (copy/paste repeating) the news without a second thought
then we have people even on this forum who just read an article and react and again repeat the same BS without thinking

the majority of countries are not actually banning bitcoin. most nations are instead are simply saying

banks will only offer the legal tender of their country to its citizens. the banks themselves will not hand out bitcoin, tins of baked beans or sexual favours to their customers via the banks teller/cashier desk or ATM.. only legal tender..

they also say if a person is transacting in more than XX,XXX of fiat in exchange for another currency (crypto or fiat) they have to declare themselves as a money business of the fiat they handle and follow all the fiat laws/regs attributed to the country of that fiat.
so even if a bitcoin trader is trading lets say 20btc.. and swapping it for $200,000.. because they are handling $200,000 they have to declare it because they handled $200,000 of fiat.  just because half of the trade was 20btc, does not absolve the trader of not following fiat rules

however.. if a trader swapped 20btc for 200,000 loaves of bread, they would not be treated as a money exchange business, but instead as a retailer. because its not a currency to currency exchange, but instead a currency to product.. and that first part. the currency was not a fiat. then their is no fiat being handled and thus no moneybusiness regs/laws... instead its then retail/sales of goods rules/laws/regs

Back from the Dead!
It is really the media that creates this kind of belief among people, to discourage them from using crypto, and the more people use banks instead of crypto, the profit will be of the banks and the media will get some amount of money too for helping.
Also, if we are really honest, there have been loads of illegal activity with bitcoin in the past, for example, the infamous silk road, and this creates the belief among people that bitcoin itself is illegal, and beginners are wary to start out.
The HYIP, ponzi schemes that scam people also spread fear among the crowds, and thus they are afraid to adopt bitcoin, or really any kind of crypto.

The mainstream media is a servant of the big banks and corporations, who represent the fiat financial system.
Most of the online and offline media needs advertising revenue in order to exist.Banks are the biggest sponsors,so they could influence mainstream media platforms.Crypto enthusiasts like me and you can`t be victims of that illlusion, but most of the newbies have a different approach, when if comes to crypto.
Yes i do agree with your point completely even I  am arguing same from couple of days in possible medias . Now one more people involved with this they take advantage with this Fake or Fud news as soon they find some news they start to sell their huge holding then wait for others to dump.

It is really sad to see the powerful and rich manipulating the media to make people belie what they want to. For instance, a lot of politicians in my country do this to show that all their promotional schemes for poor people are working as planned. In reality, all that money is being pocketed by them and some of it is used for those advertisements. Similar thing is being done for bitcoins and it is unfortunate that the middle class is showing no interest in in because of this.

Noticed how a person interested about the BTC including those already involved with the BTC, find almost every information about it via the internet, news websites, and online community organizations such as this? Why is it that it is very rare, or almost astronomical to see any station considered as "mainstream media" talk about the BTC and other forms of digital coins/currencies?

Power and Influence would be one, as it is indeed true that most who are materialistic and live with the principles of greed view that having money is already power, and the influence comes from the ability to manipulate and control the flow of money, but truth be told, money is not the true source of power and influence, those who believe that it is are superficial beings whose neural circuitry are so narrow, limited even, and they tend to ignore the fact that intelligence is the source of ideas and innovations which are more important and life changing than anything.

Considering the premises that are included in the latter statements, one who truly understands the entirety of the cryptocurrency, the BTC, and the technology behind it, not forgetting the principles that it has which provide more solutions to problems often encountered when dealing with other form of currency, including FIATs, would know that BTC is a great idea, an invention that has the potential, to innovate and make the lives of people better. Despite the existence of several laws concerning the media, and one of which is a law that obliges or imposes a strict mandate on these mediums of information, to set a particular air time, in terms of informing the public about things that are beneficial to the public, some of these would involve health, Government Issues, employment, entrepreneurship, work, or simply, ways on how a person can earn, with or without someone paying them to do so. Is it not true? that the BTC is something that can be considered as beneficial and even positively life changing, that it would allow a person to earn money, in order to have means of attaining the essential needs, vital for living and surviving, and it is true that the modern reality we have, money is required for certain elements such as health, education, food and shelter, including entertainment and luxury.

In terms of the legality of BTC and the cryptocurrencies, in a global context it could be considered both illegal but at the same time illegal, because certain nations ban it while others do not, thus the question of legality is nothing more than an issue of and on regulation. In my country, the BTC is not legal because certain banks allow transactions involving the BTC, but the media is still failing to uphold their part by not letting the public know about it.
So if a person, who is involved with the BTC and BTC is legal in his or her country but has a media community that does not talk about it, then something is wrong, and the media can play a big role not only in increasing the literacy of the population when it comes to making a living by getting involved with BTC and other forms of cryptocurrency, but also help in making the BTC and other cryptocurrency, accepted. Let us face it, it would be a step further from getting it banned or illegal.

Despite all of the latter, why is it still the case for the media? and we go back to the first factors mentioned, power and influence. Imagine if most members of the population have huge volumes of money they earned from BTC, and most banks would not have control over it, because they should not and should just mind their own business (every person has all the right in the world to make his or her life better and if it is from something legal then it is justified), the media and banks would lose their grips on the flow and control of money, and would have a decrease in the influence they have. If the banks are not involved, then it would be the sole agenda of the media, because they to rely on money for power and influence. Truth be told. What are your thoughts about this?

I think one of the obvious and main reasons that make cryptocurrency a very weak alternative to the physical money is first it being decentralized. I think that when cryptocurrency started there really was a lot of positivity surrounding that concept but when the volatility arrives it changed. Second is its anonymous nature in which a lot of people can send this coins to basically anyone online and anywhere in the world and it is being used to fund malicious equipments or even illegal activities
