Yes they havnt banned it rather spain has accepted as a currency.

Thanks a lot for your information. I have also notice that Portugal and Spain has not banned Bitcoin. I hope Portugal will be start accepting BTC as a currency.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
I came within milliseconds of starting a new thread entitled "What's the deal with Portugal and Spain pertaining to Bitcoin" upon seeing this thread, but opted to not press my luck.  Roll Eyes

Hmm... I have checked about this in Bitlegal. Seems that the possession and trading of Bitcoins (and for that matter any other crypto-currency) is perfectly legal in both Spain and Portugal.
