This is what scares me.
Please clearly state where the app is storing the private keys .

Neither have they shared source of their app, nor do we know anything about the security of their server.

Already we have well known bitcoin wallets with source available :

Why should we trust you ?

It's a new, centralised, mobile wallet made in India, that tries to simplify the use of bitcoin for 'normal' users Wink - it's using your mobile number and address book to send and receive btc. Zebpay team won the title of CoinAgenda’s Best Startup held in Oct 2014 at Las Vegas.
There is a billion+ user base in India, hope they can capture some adoption there.

This looks very dodgy indeed.

This app is also being pushed on reddit as "Bitcoin’s billion plus user base is finally addressed with Zebpay".

Never, never trust a program you don't have the source code.

Plus, when you send funds to the wallet, you part from your bitcoins and you must trust the service owner, who can run anytime with your money.

P.S.: Check permission requirements, too.

immediately get $ 1 unconditionally? and can be withdrawn?
Worked for me. It's actually a pretty easy to use app that I think most people would be able to use even if you aren't good with computers.

Guys, be very fucking careful here.

EDIT: Look at the permissions it requires. No chance.

For Android:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=zebpay.Application&hl=en

It's mainly for spending change and most of the bitcoin technicalities are hidden from the user. Your phone number is your wallet. All you have to remember is your pin.
