Hi everyone,

I am new here and new to bitcoins. I am trying to do some analysis on the blockchain data using Stata, and currently I am trying to decode the machine language in blockchain into Stata files.

I am not too clear about what information exactly is available in blockchain besides ID, date, time, price, and volume. Any additional information could be very useful. I would like to have all information in the blockchain, which means all data fields.

My clue is to decode the blockchain data to text files, then transfer them into Stata data fields. I would like to keep the month-to-month format of the blockchain while keeping each file under 4 GB.

Could anyone friendly offer any advice on which language I should use? I have some knowledge with C/C++ and vbs. If there is any reference I could read or refer to, I would very much appreciate it.

Any help is well appreciated.

Ray
