I want to get a 3% discount on buying 500 BTC.

Sir, please don't believe anybody here except your nearest and close men. Because as it is big deal you may chance to lose your money. Third party may fall you in problem with frud so that be careful before deal any third party whom you did not seen ever. Best of luck.

Thanks.
Better do personal meet up in a popular but still secured place. Check the real identity of person you'll be meeting. Have middleman and check their backgrounds. Much better if your middleman is someone you know too personally or referred from someone you know. It's quite hard to transact if you're not going to meet that person.

I want to get a 3% discount on buying 500 BTC.
Owning Bitcoin is already an investment, why would you want to have a % on purchase. I will advise you to avoid such offer less you regret it by falling into the hands of scammers. It's your money, but if you want to get such discounts,  then go invest in new Alts projects that you have made personal search, know their office a d sign an agreement with. Because 500 BTC is huge money

He want to get an instant profit by buying bitcoins at his desirable condition but actually I don't think there are people will click this offer since in the first place we have so many exchangers around and anyone can sell there bitcoins at reasonable price instantly and safely. But I will not recommend him to invest with alts since it's another story and huge chances for him to lose those money he have and much advisable for him to remain at the current rate or buy at the cheapest on exchanger which accept fiat deposits and earn later when market pumps.

Its said that transaction would be held on Hongkong but its seems no one would take this deal. Hence op might already find someone to deal on since hes off last Oct 2.

He was consistent on posting on every threads about buying bitcoin. Sounds desperate.
Last post was made last August and seems he got tired of baiting potential seller. 😂

What a dope guy.

Buy btc with credit card then could have recommended some good exchanges with lower and discounted rates.

Also, it is not safe to buy if you are doing this cash transaction without any platform like localbitcoin. You can be scammed easily also, buying from cash is always costly then other means of buying so, I have never ever preferred doing that.

Is there is any risk why you wanna suggest this option to anyone who won by BTC in a big volume. others who want to try the Bitcoin buying with the discount kindly ignore such Idea and go with the good website.
Then investors need to give some opportunity to the people investing on little and they can avoid the heavy circulation and price fluctuations.

Several months ago one guy have comunicated with me on LinkedIn like this proposal . I have managed a guy from Canada who have wished to sell.

But they said scammer each other after one month later when I communicated on both parties.

If you real can communicate with me.

But my first recommendation buy from largest exchange.

Because it will be trust.

Thanks

OP, if you really wanted to buy bitcoin with a discount just go to on this board.  Marketplace > Currency exchange.

Curious to know as to how I can purchase large volumes of BTC. Will be paying cash.

If you are paying cash you have an option there PayPal to bitcoin exchange. But I guess at this scenario you go first to send your fund because usually traders there are reputable and high ranks.

Well there are tons of wallet and sites you can exchange, and in terms of the paying cash through bitcoin i suggest do a p2p method means person to person, i mean thats my only suggestion cause you trusted the person and you can set a contract and a price to deal with it. Because of the fact also that there are tons of modus around the internet you can be scammed anytime if you are not wise and not careful enough, trading with discount using bitcoin and cash as payment p2p is the best method for me.

I think that if you were for good you should have never come here and ask for such a deal and instead you should have gone to your local bitcoin exchange and offer the deal and see what was their answer. You think that someone here will make a deal of 500 BTC with you ? No way! This is a super risky deal and the discount is insignificant for you at 500 BTC as you could get this deal in any exchange even now.

So yea better use your local exchange or localbitcoins as here you have 0 chances of someone to involve in something big like this.

I want to get a 3% discount on buying 500 BTC.

I don't recommend you do this because it's hard to find a really reliable dealer, especially in this market! Buy it in installments if necessary and do not deviate legally way. Also I don't think you can find someone to sell at a discount. Especially in recent months this is not possible. The price of bitcoin has already dropped enough. I recommend you to buy in normally ways

500 BTC in P2P  is very dangerous for the sellers. How come you will meet up unknown persons with almost 5m$ in your hand and do just a simple trade.

The best option is bought from exchange . Ot buy it in people in small portion like 10 or 20 btc .

You need all kinds of brokers for this kind of deal. Sellers can sell 500 BTC on p2p safely with escrow and over a few weeks I'm sure. No one would ever sell so much and give a discount, unless they need the cash urgently. Even so, I would do it on an exchange, get it over with safely.

Real people who want to buy a lot, on the other hand, also don't want to get scammed. So the same, they'll just go to an exchange. Why 3% discount when you can afford that much?

Hey OP, please be very careful in dealing with anyone here. If you'd really like to purchase BTC, please do so in your trusted exchange. If you received a DM with offers that is too good to be true, ignore that offer and move on.
I think OP was just joking and not really wants to buy 500 Bitcoins or maybe OP himself wants to scam Bitcoin sellers. If he is serious then he should have bought BTC on market as today Bitcoin price is cheap enough to buy. Well, it's hard to easily believe people as anyone can be a thief.

The suggested method was really no more than a glorified localbitcoin process of meet and exchange funds, and hope the wire after the fact is legit?

There are professional bitcoin services that can offer this already, there are professional escrow services to protect both buyer and seller, including those offered by HSBC (mentioned in the steps to handle this).

Of course anyone with 500 BTC today has already eluded the scammers so far, I assume they won't fall victim to something.

If you want to buy such a lot amount of BTC you will buy it from the over the counter. I am not sure how much discount they give you when you buy big amount from over the counter but usually the people who buy large amount of crypto do not buy from the exchanges, they buy it from the over the counter services.
Binance also offer this services and you can find more information at the below link https://www.binance.com/en/blog/294786426278453248/Crypto-OTC-Services-Now-Available-on-Binance

Buying from fiat would cost you more but if you go with crypto to crypto the exchange fee is too less. May be instead of buying you can get your first crypto on the form of payment for your service or product. Why don't you try buying it from other altcoin say buy bitcoins with bitcoin cash at best rates.

Oh FFS... it's just a poor scam attempt !

Lets talk if you're OK with the below procedure.

1.   Buyer sends his letter of intent
2.   Seller confirms and accepts the procedure and shows Video and Screenshots of Bitcoin Wallet
3.   Buyer submits CIS and Initial POF
4.   Buyer and Seller set a time and date for the meeting. Buyer will reserve a VIP room at a HSBC branch in Hong Kong
5.   During the Table Top Meeting in Hong Kong, Buyer’s bank issues Cashier’s check making seller as the beneficiary of the said check and hands over to the seller or his representative inside the buyer’s bank.
6.   Seller will show wallet control. (Satoshi)
7.   Seller will transfer the bitcoin, and wait until fully transferred to the buyers bitcoin wallet
8.   Once the bitcoins are confirmed and delivered to buyer’s blockchain wallet, buyer’s bank wires the cash to seller’s bank account

9.   Seller or his representative returns the cashier’s check to the buyer or his representative after seller’s bank confirms the cash received in his account and the check is cancelled
10.   Payment in BTC will be released to intermediaries after every completed transact
11.   Next transaction begins….

This guy figured it out right away. Just curious why you still just throw random words here without the slightest research (2-3 more clicks
 in this case)

Lets talk if you're OK with the below procedure.

7.   Seller will transfer the bitcoin, and wait until fully transferred to the buyers bitcoin wallet

dude only foolish seller will do that. i guarantee no one coin owner will pull out their coin out of their wallet before recieve payment. that is big scam to tricky coin owner.

Even you turn the situation around it would still be considered a scam on the Buyers perspective. What makes it not a scam is if both parties trust and agreed each other on a certain point. The Most Valuable Business Commodity: Trust and information. Wouldn't you agree?

Even if I have 500 btc as what OP wanted, I won't sell this online or meet up because that is a very risky and huge amount. I felt doubt that this OP looking for a victim to fall on the trap, why not he did not buy on the exchange or on the Local exchange that is a very easy procedure to process. As I saw replies above, OP was having an attempt to scam people by his post history.

This is surely a large transaction. Can you get a whale ? Grin Do whale still have such quantity of btc Huh

Anyway, guess you have to transact through exchange and for the rebate you are looking for, you have to write the exchange support first to see if that will be possible.

I want to get a 3% discount on buying 500 BTC.

honestly, why doesn't he buy in small amounts on exchanges? He must have something he's hiding. this is that simple

He wants to find someone who wants to sell in one go without slippage or mysterious exchange account freezes which can take weeks or months to resolve.
Probably a thing that hes trying to avoid. Its pretty hard to look for someone who had 500BTC in having a direct bulk transaction.

For me, I am just imagining how to sell 500btc with or without the 3% discount at once without having a sting with government authority because how do you explain the inflow of minimum of $5,000,000 in your account just like that. If that should even happen in my country, an automatic bar is placed on the account then you have to explain where the  fund is coming from. Do it in bits and hopefully you can get the 500btc you looking at.
Its an another topic actually yet its his problem after all when it comes to taxation and other related things.

For buying up these bulks of BTC then LBC or p2p transaction will be a nice option or even on centralized exchangers too.

But OP wants the discount, he never said anything about wanting to avoid KYC. I'm sure he's well aware he'll need to explain the movement of funds needed to make that sort of transaction.

Besides, anyone who has the money to buy 500 BTC probably has a trust fund of a third party and intermediary to do all these deals for him, so his name is hidden well behind some complex structure, . Guys who own that much wealth don't want to worry about all these issues. Their accountants take care of tax. Their managers worry about financial decisions and risk. They've paid people to worry about all these. That's what money buys.

I will advise you not to do that kind of business with just anyone you see. Because one thing I know for sure is that if you try to buy Bitcoin from anyone, they will tell you to make payments first and if you send payment to them first then you're going to end up losing your money and that's it, just say goodbye to a huge amount of money.

I don't know why you should be looking for a discount though ,It would be better for you to make use of an exchange and buy how much you can afford at the moment. Even escrows are not safe, some.people might recommend an escrow service to you, but you wouldn't know that the escrow is a scam account they are working with. It's up to you though.

This is a large deal if its serious, not familiar on how's going to be the procedure for this kind of deal but it's either a deal from a whale or exchange of your choice.

But care to tell in what country you live? most trades on the forum like this, big or small are on Currency Exchange and you will need an escrow for this trade.

Edit: I've seen you have already made the same post on the section, close this thread.
