Anyone can open a website with no intent to act honorably.  Sticking with the bigger players is the safest bet.

what kind of research are you doing actually?
in the past there are some bitcoin start up who have service like localbitcoins, but they closed their service because they can't compete with localbitcoins.
Maybe you can compare localbitcoins to bitcoin exchanges Cheesy
