A 400 wat power supply will only be able to feed 1 high end GPU (around 170 a card). + you need to add the MB and other. And You should always have like 10 to 15% REserve on your power.

So I would advice you to buy a platinum power supply of higher wattage if you really want to build a good rig.

I'm moving to a place higher in the next city where I am but the village is way up, I might be able to set up solar panel and wind turbine to save myself from spending much for the electricity.  Do I need to have at least have a high capacity powersupply or I can just keep my 400W?

Depends on your CPU/GPU also. What is your spec?
The average solar panel is about 200-300W so if that's the case you'll need a couple of solar panels and a battery storage facility.

Are you mining with the 400w power supply now?
Are you saying there is no electricity in the village that you are moving to?

If  there is electricity, then just moving your rig would not be an issue.

If you have to generate your own power, then the Power Supply will not be the problem.

How many graphics card do you plan to mine Ethereum or XMR? It depends on how many graphics card you have, you can only run 1 or 2 graphics card with 400w if you wanted to build 6 card mining rig you should use 1200w to mine Ethereum or XMR.

And I recommend hx1200i platinum fully modular this is more efficient than not rated PSU.

however, if you only have 1 or 2 graphics card 400w is enough, but AMD cards are power hungry so only 1 graphics is safe for 400w PSU.

400 watts is very small. Such amount of the electric power will suffice only for feeding 1 at most 2 GPU. I think this is very little for mining. This business requires a large and stable amount of electricity. Solar panels won't let you do that. The price of electricity is an average of 10-15% of income. Solar power will take away all income. My verdict is not profitable.
