Stagnation is Death
Put the conf where it is told - select any user and pass

Configure cgminer as told, put user and pass, start mining after opening the wallet

Its simple, the miner sends coins to wallet because you are using localhost and giving it the rpc port number for connecting to wallet

Mining will not run if wallet is closed

I decided I'd like to SOLO mine some fastcoins, as an aside to my main Darkcoin mining.

I've read the directions for setting up pooled mining and solo mining, and I've been pool mining other coins for a year.  But something seems to be missing from the solo mining directions.  It says to enter my user name and password that I choose into cgminer, but what I can't figure out is how do the coins I mine know to come to my wallet?  I don't see any correlation between running cgminer to mine and the coins being attached to my particular wallet.  And the IP address provided just says "localhost:9527".  How does it know where to go to get the data to mine coins with?

If I had to go on some other website and make my account to solo mine, that'd be one thing, but these setup directions have nothing like that.  I'm just supposed to make up a user name and password and somehow the coins end up in my wallet?

The closest guess I can make is that when you create the .conf file using the list of data shown, cgminer uses that to connect.  But still then, how does it know my user name and password is valid, and more importantly, how does it know to put the mined coins into my wallet?
