Core developers adding this?? That is not going to happen. We have trouble finding consensus on pressing issues like the blocksize.
This will function as a layer on top of existing bitcoin transactions - much like coinjoin does.

Mimblwimble, Joinmarket(Coinjoin), Tumblebit etc.
So far it's all just mostly talk and can not be used and no one knows if it ever will be.
Therefore nothing to get really exciting about.
We have other problems we should focus on in the first place.And imo this is solving this dumb blocksize issue that both parties, small block and big block fraction can be happy.

I agree with you, bitcoin is enough for privacy if the one who is using it doesn't expose himself or his bitcoin addresses. If not than there is monero and zcash for better anonymity all other projects will just hype the word increased privacy to get some place in marketcap. Grin

This is one of a kind innovation in bitcoin. But before it will be adopted it should be tested properly it because when problems happen many will suffer. And so this needs furhther testing before implemented. If this will be successful then we can even transact bitcoin offline as the article would say. This is much better to segwit and LN, it is the complete package.
