It seems to be an effective way to know any scam giveaways, but not every time I guess.

I guess you could always search online reviews about any websites or some giveaways on youtube or either online on google for reviews to know if it's a scam or something, also we could learn that live content doesn't really mean its legitimate giveaways since it might be a recorded video or it just a people who would like to scam.

If you think it's suspicious you always need to check it online like this one or and there are tons of websites that offer similar to this one.

This is a good tutorial and especially for the crypto enthusiasts who want to hunt down the scammers and let's create a scam free crypto space.

But in my opinion, taking the down video down by continuously reposting it is useless because the scammer is going to create a new video from another hacked channel and start the same stream in the next few minutes.

So it's better to understand how to identify these scam giveaway will be much more effective.

Well, a few more steps we can add to this guide is to :

1. Check out the live chat option, on scam giveaways, it will be disabled.

2. Check the channel info on which the stream is going live, for sure it will be from a hacked channel so by reading info we can get the idea that it is a hacked channel or not.

3. Look at the previous contents in that channel, if it doesn't have any other content than this giveaway then click report as a scam.

This is what everyone needs so it is really normal to understand how a scammer works or moves in many platforms.

As soon as you know their sketchy ways to lure their victim or to know the platforms that they are using, you can somehow secure your accounts away from them, just like what OP gave us as an example. Youtube, Twitter, Google, and Facebook are just an example of those platforms which are commonly used in their schemes.

This is really a good post so that all of us are aware on how to deal with that when we are accessing are YT accounts.

This method will help to report scam ads that appear on YouTube so that trap ads like this will decrease.

We know that there have been many victims caused by scam giveaway ads that upload videos of popular CEO exchanges like Binance and others, so that ordinary people are interested and then make a deposit at the address displayed.

Great tutorial!

It will certainly help fellow members in finding fake and scam YouTube videos. If we all can do this simple search and report those videos then most of YouTube will be cleaned from these scammers.

Of course we as a community might be helping Google but such an effort by us will also highlight how vulnerable and helpless these platforms are in countering scammers.

This is a much better approach, a proactive one rather than just reactionary. Most often, actions are done only after a certain scam has already made victims. People would usually notice the scams only when victims are already crying out loud all over the internet. Seldom do we really hunt for these scams and nip them in the bud.

But I wonder how huge the pile of scam or shitty giveaways is in Youtube alone. As a matter of fact, the word giveaway has already developed a very poor connotation. It is closely associated with scam. Usually, giveaways are either outright scams or have certain almost-hidden conditions which make it not a giveaway at all.

So if I were to give advice, you better just completely ignore these giveaways. There are more risks to them than benefits.

When I saw title of topic, I thought - why someone would search for scam giveaways? But yeah, it's good content. Maybe it won't solve this problem in general, there is just too many such videos appear every day and many of these scammers are smart, they know how to reach big number of people before video will be taken down. But obviously, reporting it is better than doing anything.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Of course, with this tutorial, this is very useful for anyone who wants to investigate skam advertising on YouTube, especially for newbies, we must be able to assess and distinguish how the giveaway really is, so with this thread we can help us all to report and to related parties.
Like him I will continue to investigate things like this and want to know the fake giveaway and report it here let's just see that the giveaway now nothing is real.

I think I can start my own research now to report scam that are happening in the youtube channel. Reporting it would be good no matter how many times scammer wanted to create and then get reported. In this way we can avoid getting this scam youtube videos. Searching foe this scam youtube videos may help lift the morale of cryptocurrency in getting away the members of the cryptocurrency from the scam.

Good tutorial, I think this will be effective if we have the time to hunt those scammers camouflaging behind Youtube. And it's very quick that they have taken this sample that you have put it here. Maybe Youtube is already sensitive about crypto related scams that once your found out and reported it, they will look into it and shut it down for good. But then again, it will be a continue cat and mouse game searching for this scammers.

This is a total compliment of what I've written here, [Guide]: How To Report Fake Crypto Related Youtube videos. And it looks like the video has been taken down, so I will assume that you have reported it already before creating this posts.

I've written this guide to help others search Youtube fake giveaway scams to clean up crypto space.

1. Obviously, you need to go to Youtube. (https://www.youtube.com/)

(I intentionally blurred out some videos)

2. For this example, I used "Ada giveaway", as the keyword to search.

3. Then we will used the Filter options

  • Click Filter
  • Choose This Week

4. Scroll down and you will see this video,

Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmPv9Xdp2qs

5. And there is the fake giveaway website for you.

We can now report this Youtube stream and then the fake link.
