BIOS moded with MPT and DDRMA12 at 6000,
CORE 1430
VDD 790
MEM 1860 to 1890  depending on the card in windows 10   using wattamn

I get around 120W in software probably 140W at the wall
and   58.3MHs to 59MH/s

the only annoying part is dealing with wattman not reloading the saved profile after a possible crash and restart.. any solution for that?

Hi, do you have to change the DramTiming12 on both of the memory types in RBE?

With TRM I even got better hash per watt. I lose 1MH but the power is lowered by 5W per card (tested both on hiveos and on my wattmeter). It seems that the new TRM kernels are better optimised for 5700's, since I got less invalid shares.

I know that most of the cards from Sapphire are with Samsung memory, while for the other brands it is the reverse - more are with Micron. Micron needs 30W more per card and gives 3Mh more, which is quite a bad ratio. Unfortunately, around here Sapphires prices are 33%+ higer than the others. 

Yes Samsung memory are amazing performance also on RX5600XT.
From experience any GPU could be with samsung either micron , even same box from factory have got half samsung half micron. Its lottery

The power consumption for Samsung memory is amazing. They take 4-5W more than my 580's and give 1.75x more hash. For 3 cards the total power with the MB pack from the wall is 395W. If only I could find 40 more cards with Samsung memory...   I will replace all my old cards. For now they are better even compared to nvidia 3800. Which 5700's models are known to be with only Samsung memory?

P.S. With these settings I get <1% stale shares from the pool and  ~440/1 accepted/invalid shares on one of the gpu's in the miner. On the other 2 gpu's it is ~1000/1. I guess it is good enough and not worth lowering further the mem clock. I use the standard 1550 mem straps+5990 ttref.

Yeah the latest BIOS are locked and cannot mod the timings. Igors lab bios editor doesnt work properly on latest bios

No, I only update the bios from Gigabyte official website 



As I said above, I only did the reccomended bios update of Gigabyte website, easy, but I didn't modify or unlock my bios after that

yes.. i've sent them to rma.....
after a few minutes of mining cards died (disapeard from system)
no computer can find them in any slot....

what do you mean "died"? You have to RMA it?

got a few power color rx 5700XT with samsung memory... and can't mod them ... i can but 2 cards already died......

What i have noticed, Samsung memory GPUs are great for power consumption.
This 8GPU rig does 450mh/s at 1080w from the wall. It is in closed case , because of the high efficiency fans case itself consumes 130w.
So total for 8xgpu is 450mh/s @950w, which i think is great.
These cards are MSI mech RX 5700XT , i know many people complaining about mem temps on these - but look what temps. i have.
Same rig with same cards with Micron memory uses 300w more.

Yo should analizar your rig... it is 200W higher in wall that it  should be for most profitable mining

Would you like to share your bios file in here? I'm not confident if i, doing bios manual moding alone, at least you tried it and it was stable. Hope someone here share his rx5700 file here. Thanks

Yahh you have to look for older BIOS as the bios editor for latest BIOS doesnt work properly as the bios is locked.

6 pcs GPU and all system eat 943W at my last bios and settings. Stable.

The problem is with rev 2.0, but you can put bios rev 1.0 in 2.0 and all working...

I'm in BIOS Mod too and I get this values with 110W on the wall.. it ca arrives to 57-59Mhs depending Memory luck

I heard bad things about bios mod this card, that is somehow blocked.

I never tried yet doing the mod in myself, I just download in anoraks the bios mod file, Im just using the bios flash.

Hi it is not only you, I have a few rigs on different places with different miners (all mining ETC) and it happened to all of them in the same time!!!

No difference its just a random number.
When was testing increased numbers every time and felt like over 6000 there was no speed increase.

Where can I find bios for MSI Gaming X , Msi Evo, Rx5700?

Noticed some guides show 6000 and the video recommends 5990, any difference? 5990 working good for me, this mod seems to require core clock a little higher than normal

hmm is it just me or in this last epoch (etc) we lost 0.5mh in each card?

Timing Bios mod for AMD cards is nothing new for increasing performance on Ethereum mining. Lately also available for RX 5700 graphic cards. Most simples is just applying 1500mhz straps down bellow, which increases performance by roughly 10-15%. But there is more to that, i was playing with the rom files. And figured out that editing Dram 12 timing also increases performance for mining ETH.
Mining is basically competition whoever can do most efficient. And you want to rigs run as efficient as you can.

So the steps are following to increase another 1-2 mh/s on top of your 1500mhz strap bios mod.

1.By default 1500mhz and down bellow DramTiming12 is set to 2850 and on some cards 2945.



2. You need to edit this to at least 6000 in (1550mhz,1750mhz,1800mhz,1875mhz,2000mhz). Some gpus timing starts from 1500mhz it really doesnt matter which bios you have. I tried both of these and seems like it is working just fine.





3. I have tested this on Asus Strix RX5700XT and also Gigabyte RX5700XT




What i have noticed your cvlt and mvdd also has to be low as possible , my cvdd was set to 760.

Im sure there is more to it and we can increase more performance by adjusting these timing. This process is very time consuming, and im sure people will find how to adjust more of this to increase mining speed.
