Amazon will definitely be a better provider for Twitch than Google.

Nah, I always believe google is much better...

Look at Google's streaming platform for Youtube. Look at the comments for Youtube.

I thought Google was going to buy them through Youtube.

Maybe Google will just buy Amazon now? Hmm...

Honestly, was a bit surprised it was only ~$1 billion for twitch. I thought it'd be a LOT more.
I hope that you're joking with that statement. Do you realize how much it would cost to buy Amazon?
It wouldn't even be profitable for them I think.
They have been rapidly expanding this year.
And yes Google meant to buy Twitch, I'm not sure why the deal is/was off.

Yeah I was kind of suprised, there were a lot of news saying that it was going to be google that would buy Twitch.
But I must admit, Amazon has an incrible structure anyone that used their web services can confirm this. Not to say all the showcases they have. Amazon is simply amazing, and will make the potencial of streaming games and e-sports even better.

I think it's a good and bad thing. Sure Amazon will have the funds to make Twitch into a much better site, but I hate that these huge companies are buying literally every growing company. Soon the whole world will be owned by a few companies. I'm not to worried about Amazon though because the owner is pretty smart and I think he cares about consumers a lot more than most of the other huge companies.

Excited to see what Amazon is going to do with Twitch but just gotta wonder what it feels like to be part of a company that got bought out for one billion dollars.

Google can buy me for ~$1 billion anyday. Cheesy

I'd sell myself to google for free. Only if they gave me food. Lots and lots of free food.

"I’m pleased to announce we’ve been acquired by Amazon. We chose Amazon because they believe in our community, they share our values and long-term vision, and they want to help us get there faster."

Wow, as the way Twitch was growing I wasn't expecting it to be sold.
