I don't think so. It technically isn't officially an emoji(yet) because you can't copy paste it like how you can copy paste text. It just appears like an emoji on Twitter's side, but it's actually just an image icon. This shows that how important is bitcoin and how fast people will be more knowledgeable about bitcoins. This is a very good move by twitter and since it is in trending, this shows how much it is anticipated by the people.

same here i dont use twitter but i use other social media specifically fb but yeah its still a good idea to include an emoji like this , this only prove that twitter is also supporting crypto but did the emoji were only depending on the device that we use and not exactly on the platform ? speaking of device , other devices now like mobile phone , do also have a btc emoji . it was an apple iphone and samsung phone that i see . emoji is not small but everyone right now uses an emoji . it plays a big role on the text or word that you are writing .

So I got curious and want to see it on my own so I tried it as well and both #bitcoin and #btc works. It's nice to see own bitcoin emoji on twitter. It somehow makes me proud about this. We know that the CEO of twitter is very open and vocal towards his acceptance on Bitcoin. And this kind of update on his own app is a great thing. I bet crypto users will often use this hashtag on Twitter now.

I am not a Twitter person, but this is great news! It shows that Bitcoin is becoming a solid part of contemporary culture. Bitcoin emoji might not seem like much, but it increases its noticeability, right? I like it that Jack Dorsey is being so supportive. He tweets positive stuff, he funds the Lightning Network development, his Cash App accepts Bitcoin (at least, this is something I read about a week ago), and now this emoji is just a nice addition to the overall systematically pro-Bitcoin position of an influential person.

I also loved the joke about BCH and BSV, by the way Cheesy

Hit that Tweet button and boom... But in android app, the emoji shows while still typing, not sure in desktop or browser tho.

I can't stand Twitter, and it amazes me that it's staying relevant. I have a feeling that it either won't be around in ten years, or it'll look much different by then. Really ? Does it work? If yes , then I think twitter do some good idea and decision and being aware in growing bitcoin community. But I think facebook will not try to add that emoji, there are lot of pending request adding more emoji in facebook, and also they are currently building their own blockchain, so I think it is not yet possible.

@hugeblack thanks for noticing it and posting it out here and as we discuss here Bitcoin Emoji is trending a lot on twitter, and do you’ll believe that we will see sudden spikes in bitcoin prices because of this move by Twitter.

Wow that's great, it means bitcoin/btc is already known by the social media especially in twitter, twitter really helps us crypto community on promoting bitcoin or cryptocurrency and now bitcoin has it's own emoji and that would be really a big help for us because of this many people will be able to see what bitcoin is look a like by just seeing the new bitcoin emoji and because on the past months we are just using the dollar sign when we are talking about bitcoin and now we can already use the bitcoin emoji to demonstrate well are feelings. I am so glad that it already have by now.

It's an economic revolution that they will be able to see and read about soon.
