Personally I am leaning towards a bit more sideways in this range. I think we will see a significant recovery bounce before April of 2023. If I had to guess, conservatively I would say BTC hits $30,000 - $50,000 by the end of next year.
Personal benchmarks always require very basic reasons so that the predictive direction can be clearer. Since from what it looks like right now Bitcoin is struggling to approach the $20K price level, it could also be a sign that Bitcoin needs whales to move the price higher so it doesn't appear to be struggling in terms of increasing its price from now on.

I also have no doubt about the price level you mentioned for Bitcoin, because Bitcoin has also reached it in 2021, but now the conditions are different so longer time is what Bitcoin needs to move to the level you mentioned.

Today is the day and I'm seeing bitcoin still do sideaway at 16.5-16.8K level I do believe not trade at the final days like this, some of might withdraw their money to enjoy christmast and new year. and pretty much other instrument too like forex and commodities or stock.
It's better to hold on and not try to get out of the market for now, because today has changed 2022-2023, meaning this is the initial stage for bitcoin to be more stable, I personally am still trying to wait for market conditions in March or April, because the market will be more clear whether it will experience a sideaway or will experience a more stable increase and not move at the same price.

Maybe we can see the price jump start on January
Estimating January, February and March is the first step for the next phase, where bitcoin will experience a gradual recovery resistance point and hope that this year the market conditions will be more dominant green. The four-year cycle relationship seems to be getting closer and hopefully this year is the first step towards achieving that.

Yes, there are no signs of any movement to push the price, so more likely this is it for us, $16,500 could be the average. I'm not seeing any positive movement at all around $18,000 and up, this could probably replicate the movement we have in 2019 so no movement at all in the first quarter. And I'm thinking that we should prepare again for maybe another lower lows, yeah I know that we want to see the price recovering so at least the biggest support of $20,000 but there could be some negative news again this year that will impact the manager in a bad way similar to Luna or FTX or maybe just plain FUD.

Stagnant end of year for bitcoin. Around 16,600$, what is acceptable as good news on the bigger picture (better than nothing), but with serious possibility of crashing a little more as the new year begins. In my opinion 15,000$ is still a real threat and possible support level for bitcoin. We shall see what 2023 holds, although I'm not too confident in crypto market until next bitcoin halving.

There aren't good news and events happening right now or going to happen soon that could justify a positive trend in bitcoin price. I think something which could be great would be if the scammers from FTX, Celsius, Luna were arrested and their funds seized in order to pay investors back. That would be a great lesson to scammers in crypto industry and a powerful booster for bitcoin to become bullish still in 2023.

The price of bitcoin will still be where it is now and not go anywhere. There may still be fluctuations but it's not likely to go down too much or up too much more. But if it is after the New Year, there is a possibility that the price will surprise us, whether it will be an increase or decrease. And right now, it's still at $16k and we'd better wait until the end of the year and see what happens. I didn't expect the price to drop further, even though it was an opportunity to buy more bitcoins.
As far as I know Bitcoin will not see any uptrend soon. Until the extreme situation is resolved. I don't believe we will see any bullish movement in Bitcoin especially until the Ukraine-Russia war ends. Although various news come and go in the crypto world, nothing is as expected in crypto. This is the right time to buy Bitcoin. Every investor knows that the current market is only haunted by negative news. So this time investors are full of risk in order to get something good from the market. Investors should keep a close eye on Q1 next year. Bitcoin will not change much. $18500 may be the highest price of Bitcoin for this year. Although ‍some crypto expert speculate it may go up to $16000-$20000. According to me there is less than a week left of this year. Getting to $20000 by this time will be somewhat difficult.

Why are we exactly debating about the price ? I mean we already know what has Bitcoin done this year. It won’t affect a lot in the last week to be honest. Moreover the thing that matters is that, where Bitcoins are moving now. If Bitcoins manage to cross 20k usd in the next 5 days, then Bitcoins will really do something big in the next year.
If anyone has missed the best time to buy Bitcoins, then it is the time my friend. Just don’t wait more and buy as many Bitcoins as you can during this low price period.
As the year nearly ended it's obvious where this price will go though since there's no major changes on the market except for those sudden FUD but it's not that a big deal since the market just shrug it off and get back to line but wasn't high enough.

I can't fathom why almost everyone keep asking this same question over and over again like it will affect the market if the year ended. If they really want to know what are the people been thinking in the past bear run those are possibly the same answer OP would get.

It seems like December is kinda red in all months except when it was bullish in the past but that didn't last long. Considering that holidays are coming left and right that's why most people need to sell some.

The crowd chose to go sideways, and so did I, you can see that the market is getting very quiet, and there is hardly any noticeable movement. This can be explained because people are focusing on the end of the year when two big holidays are coming up, Christmas and New Year. After a year of hard work and dealing with many difficulties caused by epidemics and wars, we now need a break to reflect on those bad things.

I agree with @yhiaali3, when the first week of the new year is over, things will move and most likely be negative, bad news is still waiting for the market.

In the meantime, I'm choosing Sideways and don't expect to see a deeper decline.
But if my choice is wrong and the price decreases, I will also be okay because it is an advantage. After all, I can buy bitcoins again.
And it is also being awaited by people who have prepared some money to buy more bitcoins.
But even if the price were to go up, that would also be okay because we are allowed to take short-term profits before we see those long-term profits come.

Personally, I voted for the first option (under 16k), although I am convinced that it will remain stable until the end of the year, but something surprising can happen until then.

The markets are mostly bearish, and the bear market will continue, perhaps the entire first quarter of next year. I do not see any positive indicators. All indicators are negative, either stability at the current price or a decline to the bottom.

In any case, we are now in the festive week until the end of the year, so do not expect anything new. You have to wait and watch.

I also agree with the majority, bitcoin will be a sideway for the rest of the year. There is only 1 week left until the end of the year, and surely everyone is busy preparing for a peaceful new year, no one cares much about investment or the market anymore. So it is understandable that bitcoin these days is not very volatile.

If the market price won't fall deeper, I'd be okay with that atleast. The market value would be really have a harder time to recover if perhaps its market price would cross the $10k mark. At this moment, there are still nothing such as factor which could boost the interest of people towards investing on this industry like positive news. As far as I know, the biggest expected leap on its price is being anticipated at 2024 which has something to do with the next Bitcoin halving. But it would be one long year for 2023, for sure it will be difficult for investors if there'll be no increase with its price for a whole year, except for those who can afford to endure such situation, which are more likely big investors of this industry.

Just relax and don't think too much as this year will end. It's most likely that we'll just stick to $16kish or so until the last minute of this year.
We haven't seen a huge pump just like last year so, consider it that we're already stagnant and not that much to think of price movement until this year ends.
I know it's hard but I think we can just accept the fact that BTC ain't going anywhere because we only have 1 week left. This time frame is too small imo for us to expect a miracle so I guess it's now safe to say that this year 2022 is mostly compose of a bearish market but lets hope that next year 2023 and onwards are going to be a good year for the cryptos.

The only thing that we must be happy for this year is that we already filled our bags with different coins. Not just any random coins but of course, only the best because their values are also cheaper this year. For those who haven't done a shopping yet, they can still do a last minute of it. So hurry up peeps.

The bear market may persist for a while and may be there may be a further market downtrend, Bitcoin is hovering around $16k+ and this price may become Bitcoin 2022 benchmark.

There is no much days left before the end of 2022 and Bitcoin have been stable for the past three months and this may change since Bitcoin is a highly volatile asset.

With the rate of resistance, we may be forced to witness some price build up to around 19k in the first quarter of the next year.

Below $16,000 - 34.2%
Sideways (16k-18k) - 52.9%
$19,000-$20,000+ - 12.9%

Sideways is always a safe and most probable guess for a short-term prediction.

I don't think we'll see any serious rally if the global recession kicks in. Hope I'm wrong though.
We are all in a recession its not like we need the governments to officially declare a recession we all know we are as the cost of living and interest rates are rising which is a direct effect of a struggling economy so we are not going to have I think you are right though 16-18k is the most probable and anything else would be a major concern. We are going to need some positive news for us to get out of this range and I do not see that coming in the next few days.

For the last week of the year, I don't expect any kind of magic to happen because nothing spectacular is in the offing to happen anytime this year. So the price will pretty much hang in circles to the current price and playing between $17k to $20k even down to the first quarter of next year before a major change can be expected. I don't see any thing happening now, when I expected it last month to first week of this month because of the expected rush for the season but it didn't happen and to being 24th is almost rounding off the year.

Expecting any big movements this close to the end of the year is silly. It will prolly remain around this price and we will not see any big movement until next year. I think around mid next year we will be celebrating a full recovery to around $30,000 and then towards the end of the year and 2024 we will either already had a new all time high or we will be anticipating it and hovering around $45,000

I think you should add a screenshot to tweet since you expect replies here.

In general, there is only one week left for the end of the year, and this week in many countries is a festive season when life stops and many go to family and relatives, and thus the appetite for risk decreases, which means that the price will witness a kind of relative stability.

Therefore, and based on the expected weak liquidity, it is difficult for us to break the psychological barriers at $17,000.

Most likely it will be the exact same price as it is today. The markets are very illiquid during the holidays. One of the worst weeks to trade is the week between Christmas and New Years. Honestly surprised the markets aren’t closed then.

There won’t be any big moves unless there is some bad or very good news being released, which is unlikely. Most likely no volatility until January pretty much.

Where do you guys think we will end the year? As we move into the final week of the year I expect things will get very interesting.
Personally, I think many of these ultra bears are going to get caught off guard in regards to whats coming...

If the question was about the price for later this year, I would answer in the range of $16K to $18K for later this year on Bitcoin. After all that has also happened in this month so that makes me confident in that price range although it is still very possible for a higher price than that. Just because considering that this year is only a few days away, so I chose on the basis of what Bitcoin has achieved this month, namely ($16K - $18K).

We are just over a week away from the end of a tumultuous year for all financial markets, and I am not surprised to see more than 50% predicting bitcoin to move sideways between 16k-18k for the last week of the year. But it will be interesting if the market has a surprise because I often find that the market always reacts against the crowd. When people think that 17k is the bottom of the bear season, bitcoin continues to find the bottom of 15.4k, and this time, it will repeat even though it is not known whether it is up or down.

I think it's pretty obvious that we will be in the sideways movement for quite sometime, not just at the end of the year, but this will continue early quarter until there will be a break out run, or another black swan, but we don't know what's going to happen so we might as well stick with the current situation of trending sideways.

As for the perma bears, it is what it is mate, they are going to be bears not matter what, but they thrive when the market price declines and they seem to be getting out of their hibernation.
