This shouldn't be surprising, everything single thing you do is tracked and recorded when your online.  If you want to be serious about your privacy you need to look into alternatives and using the Tor browser.

I was speaking with someone few days ago &  mentioned the name of a spice (Maggi) and few hours later I opened my twitter page only to see an ad on different brand of Maggi called Knorr.
My ads have always been Crypto and tech related (I hardly receive food or political ads) so the Maggi ad was obviously strange ad type and easily noticeable.  I felt a bit violated. Well, thank God I don't talk alot. I could sit in my room for 2 weeks - 1month without uttering a word. If they have all my conversations somewhere, there's every likelihood nothing important to hear.

I always knew Facebook does something like that(read it somewhere). .. which is one of the reasons I don't have the App on my phone. Never knew Twitter does it too. I only suspected the company when the Maggi ad showed up on my feed.
I wonder why there is no outrage over Twitter privacy violations? Why just Mark Zuckerberg. Maybe he didn't give them what they want?

I will be very suprise if Twitter dont listen.
For common conversation okey
But important only Telegram

Did you give permission to the twitter app to access the microphone? You can check it and revoke the permission.

So what are you using? As I said before, I use GAB as an alternative for Twitter. But for WhatsApp and FaceTime alternatives, I've read really good things about Signal. I must admit I never heard about it before.

Do you have any experience with Signal?

Yeah that's creepy stuff. I kicked Twitter out and changed to GAB quite a while ago. We don't have to accept this kind of bullsht...

I'm not in Twitter with people. There I make posts about bounty and airdrop.
I mostly talk in a telegraph or in a forum.

I`ve heard about that kind of consequences. Not really sure what to think of it yet.

Most likely it is a counter of all social networks and not just twitter or of Facebook, so do not worry, try to think about what you say!

It is not just about Twitter. All social media seem to listen to our conversations outside their service. Based on that knowledge, they provide us with the advertisement
