That will be great if it goes through. This will further strengthen Bitcoin and give it a strong image, considering the fight against in recent times.

Since the topic of conversation came about Twitter, then I have two questions.  Roll Eyes

[1] Someone knows where you can find a list of all cryptocurrency companies that have a verified Twitter account?
[2] Has anyone already delved into the details of the new feature - "Twitter Communities"?

Just since Jack Dorsey is a supporter of Bitcoin and is trying in every possible way to integrate new technologies into his platform, I had a slight desire to participate in this ... starting with the creation of the "Bitcointalk Twitter Community", (as far as I can tell this is a kind of subreddit but only on Twitter).

I believe this was only the beginning of the social media payments system for crypto.
Whatsapp just announced they will be allowing crypto payments via novi payments platform but for US residents only for now.

This is why Twitter is one of my favorite social media platforms. They’re always making a big move that other platforms hardly considered. now there will be the first that has done this, and I believe that with time other social media platforms are going to start doing the same thing. I will see lots of them who will start paying their content creators through Bitcoin.

Bitcoin as a payment method should be something that is available on all major platforms by now, and content creators should be allowed to choose whether they will like to get paid through cryptocurrency. I’m also looking forward to other platforms like Google accepting it on platforms like YouTube .
What a great idea by Twitter! Doing so would actually help boost bitcoin and cryptocurrency adoption worldwide. When Twitter starts paying content creators in bitcoin, that would help bitcoin to get more exposure to the world and more people will join the bitcoin community and cryptocurrency ecosystem in general.
The lightening network usage have spiked over 3000 bitcoin volume once after the entry of El Salvador and with the adoption plan of Twitter. Days back twitter once again revealed plans of having a wallet tied to each account to make the crypto tipping easier than depending on some third party wallet service. The step taken forward by Twitter is really big and helps big with bitcoin. The new CEO for Twitter have taken charge, and he might bring more advancing things into Twitter in the upcoming days/months.

I’ve consistently been using Twitter for posting crypto-related stuff and as a content creator myself. However, I still have long ways to go as I don’t have a lot of engagement on my posts yet. However, I’m taking it one day at a time and keep building till I got decent engagements for every tweet I make. This would be really a good opportunity for content creators who are using Twitter.

We really hope that this is not just a discourse because we have heard of things like this where many companies want to adopt or make payments using bitcoin but if Twitter wants to make payments using bitcoin to content creators then this will directly have a good impact for the survival of bitcoin, if this can be realized, bitcoin will automatically be displayed clearly in the advertisements of some of these social media, including our Twitter, which is very diverse.this will actually be realized, not just a mere discourse

Don't think will impact the development of bitcoin's use on the platform but Jack Dorsey has resigned last week and here is an article showing the letter of resignation from the company:
https://www.inc.com/jason-aten/jack-dorseys-resignation-letter-from-twitter-reveals-a-harsh-truth-about-leadership-most-people-never-learn.html

Also his other company square renamed to block so this should show how devoted he is to cryptocurrencies as a whole:
https://www.fool.com/the-ascent/cryptocurrency/articles/square-changes-name-to-block-is-jack-dorsey-all-in-on-crypto

The name change for the company (including sprial for the other division of the company) will take place on December 10th of this year.

-snip-

It does seem you need to be in a region that has access to the strike app. This is how they are enabling twitter users to send it through their platform.
So not everyone can use this application as it describes it is for El Salvador and some states in the US.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some videos of the developer of Strike/Zap saying that twitter's feature should work with any lightning wallet (blue wallet, Eclair, Zap, etc...)

I haven't gotten to chance to try this yet though, does anyone have an idea when they're planning to push the update for android devices?

We all need to give a big thanks to Jack Dorsey for being a huge bitcoin supporter and introducing countless to bitcoin and to showing much of the world that bitcoin is a great achievement.  I think he said something to the effect that "bitcoin reminds me of the early days of the internet".  Jack also said that he plans to make a hardware wallet at some point which is also pretty damn cool.

This still seems to be rolling out as I can't find it anywhere in the app or website.
It is not available on most twitter accounts yet either.
Maybe you need to have your account validated to some extent just as one having a higher trusted account shown with a blue check mark besides their user profile.
This might be a kind of compliance policy they might implement before allowing people to receive or send bitcoins.
There has not been any word at this point.

This is great, because till day bitcoin is stated to be good for large volume transactions. Now the change has happened through the lightening network. More discussions were around for a long relative to the lightening network. Now the same into real-time usage by a large network making path for small value transaction/tipping is a big step in the adoption of bitcoin in all forms. Already different platforms have begun to accept bitcoin on different needs, now something on a social media platform seems to be more effective in adoption of the technology.

this is a very interesting topic to discuss about Twitter which will pay creators for content if they create content about bitcoin, at the same time this will be a promotion for bitcoin, where the price is still unstable and has also received rejection from various countries in the world so that difficult for bitcoin itself.but with the payment made by Twitter for bitcoin content this will greatly impact bitcoin in trying to return its price to return to stability in the global stock market

I could never imagine that Jack Dorsey doing such bitcoin friendly stuff since a few months ago. But, specially recently he did many positive stuff and done many things like this one. By doing this users of Twitter will have thw chance do integrate more with bitcoin and since bitcoin already got popularity between people, there will be some positive effects for Twitter itself.

Twitter's Jack Dorsey told investors that bitcoin would be an important instrument for the company and that they would introduce the feature to his Tip Jar. At the moment it appears this feature is only in the beta version of iOS, but it looks like it will make its way to Android as well eventually. It's not yet known when the feature will launch, but the code also indicates that Twitter will provide users with tutorials on how to tip using bitcoins, as well as using Bitcoin Lightning Network and custodial and non-custodial wallets.

Using Bitcoin as payment for content creators is a good idea, for both Bitcoin and Twitter's content creators, not only will they have an opportunity to make more profit because of Bitcoin, but because of them as content creators using Bitcoin and their platform and audience to gain more trust over Bitcoin.

I entirely agree with Jack Dorsey, Bitcoin is actually a useful instrument for social media platforms, a lot of people uses Twitter as a platform for cryptocurrency and endorsing projects as well.

It's not surprising because ever since before they're against in crypto because of some reason  so be aware as well and stop wondering why they want to shut down bitcoin.. Last time they purging the account that burst posting about the crypto project but now they are giving some tips to the one who posted good things about bitcoin. How quickly things can change in the crypto industry. that's why those who doubt about it will never get anything from it. they need to consider making their research more comprehensive after this decision on Twitter. That's really a great news because Twitter has a large number of users and hence more number of people will now get exposed to bitcoin.
Also, the tipping feature will encourage more number of people to start content creation on Twitter as this might be an income opportunity for them.

The things to note are that the tipping feature will start only on iOS devices for now and will roll out to Android in the next few weeks.
I wonder whether the tipping service will be available for website users or not.
It would have been better if Twitter could publish a page giving out more details of the tipping service.

this is good news for bitcoin. Social media giants like Twitter are starting to adopt bitcoin and implement it on their platforms.
Yes, Jack Dorsey is definitely taking a first approach to this and because of this it will make Tweeter the first social platform to embed with BTC payments via tipping. Content creators actually being rewarded right away- massive improvement and encouragement in the space.

This news is good for both parties as well as for the long term adoption of BTC. As such the +ve vibe around the whole crypto market should pick up again, following recovery from the China FUD.

I'm not a Twitter person, but it's great to have Jack who's been consistently pro-Bitcoin, unlike other rich guys from the tech industry. This tipping feature sounds very nice to me, and given how Twitter is a huge social network, this can generate a lot of interest in Bitcoin and encourage way more people to use it. What's also great is that while Twitter allows tipping using Strike (which seems crucial in El Salvador's adoption of Bitcoin), there's also an option of adding one's Bitcoin wallet address to receive tips directly.

Does anyone have news about whether they have rescinded their ridiculous BTC address shadowban? Since 2020 can simply be repeated again by attaching a BTC address to a hacked profile and telling gullible users to "pay to the BTC address in my profile"?

I hear they’re also going to allow authenticated NFTs as profile picks. That is the start of the game changing for NFTs. Once they become a provable flex on social networks, shit could start to get wild. Every celebrity and social media influencer is going to want to have the best and most expensive profile pics…

How is this going to stop some random twitter account like mine from using the same pics?

Not just an encouragement but also a boost to the popularity of bitcoin overall because these move by Twitter is going to make more people adopt bitcoin because Twitter has legions of influencers that's going to do their thing and start sharing their thoughts on this thing and using their own influences.
one by one big companies started accepting bitcoin, and twitter is one of the biggest social media that currently accepts bitcoin. this will certainly make twitter users more familiar with bitcoin. this is a wonderful thing. I'm pretty sure little by little developments regarding bitcoin will be very widespread. although there are quite a lot of repeated FUDs, but I strongly believe developments like this will make bitcoin adoption more widespread. well, I'm waiting for the next big company to accept bitcoin. this is amazing.

This news looks impressive. If this is true, then other social platforms could follow Twiiter's example and this could cause an even bigger surge in the use of cryptocurrencies, namely BTC. I also have a Twitter account and it would be nice to get BTC for my content. We are probably witnessing the start of a new stage of development in the crypto industry and all this looks promising.

That's awesome, will it be like Twitch where there's a semblance of content first before anything else? Or would it be the same as Patreon or Buy Me a Coffee? If so then that means they're competing against other established platforms which is good since the more competition there is then there's more benefit for the people.
From what I had seen of the framework behind it, they plan on having you pay to see posts.
source: https://appleinsider.com/articles/21/09/23/twitter-launching-tip-jar-with-bitcoin-support-globally-on-ios

So it would be more like a Patreon if they really do plan on implementing this into the final version of their rollout.
As it is being enabled for their iOS customers in a sort of beta release then if it does not have any issue they will bring it for everyone to use.

I wonder how long some of the other social media sites are going to leave it before integrating Bitcoin in some way?

The government are does preventing this from happening, this CEO knows the government are against Bitcoin and do not want to get on the wrong side of the government because of the regulations and penalty that might follow for promoting Bitcoin in their social media. But CEO that are maximalist are not concerned which is why Jack Dorsey is doing so good in creating more awareness for Bitcoin.

The hype on Bitcoin is so huge that all CEO want a piece of it, you can see all what Mark Zuckerberg did to get in on this hype but failed due to the government not approving. I believe other social media CEO are passing through same challenge or maybe they do not just care.

Is twitter going to be some kind of social media platform that would pay users to use it already? I think that would be great in terms of the user base, but facing it as being taken advantage of is scary. But the application of different smart chains and NFT integration within the platform would accommodate the need for more cryptocurrency adoption moving forward.

I'm looking forward to how the competition they have moved ahead with this because it's not just to ignore.

And yet some countries are still busy resolving how to ban Bitcoin? Ha! Moves like this are great for Bitcoin, having millions(twitter says to have 192 million active users) of people get to know more about being their own bank and escaping the unwanted shadow of the government. These countries that Ban crypto are only trying what they can; what will be will be. People are already learning the truth and will not unlearn it! It's only a matter of time before they find cryptocurrency users uncontrollable.
Everyone in the platform will try to appeal to the crypto population when it comes to crypto donations, that I am sure of. It's good for the crypto community but given how toxic Twitter is, pretty sure that if the crypto market has these toxic people taken in, pretty sure that we will see the market move much more erratic and volatile because these toxic people are the epitome of cancel culture and I am sure that bitcoin isn't safe when that happens.

So I guess this is Jack's answer to Elon's question on the "B WORD" night. Elon asked "Would you accept bitcoin for ads on Twitter?".

Enabling content creators to tip each other with Bitcoin isn't really as huge but a major corporation spending time and effort to deploy bitcoin and Lightning-compatible product is a great approval for the future of bitcoin as well as Lightning. Becoming a Bitcoin/ LN expert would be a great way to get hired by Twitter.

Once LN and payment bots are integrated, there is nothing stopping Twitter from becoming something more than pure tweeting. If facebook could have markets, so can twitter. Only they'd be Bitcoin powered and so much cooler.

Recently I found a Source that makes me feel proud enough to know cryptocurrency so far. However, we are always more optimistic. After some time after the announcement given by Dorsey, I began to try to analyze several sources personally to strengthen the existence of Bitcoin in the future.

AIER released this article as we all know Dorsey often tells everyone that "Bitcoin has shown me the future". This opens the truth about what decentralization really is, which is that all public skepticism, especially cryptocurrency users, is getting stronger in responding to claims of political authority.

In other words, adopting crypto is not just about digital money. But as an alternative answer to all intermediary transactions without taxes. So it would be nice if Dorsey confidently who will always pamper creative twitter users with a valuable fee this has an exponential impact.

CEO Jack Dorsey has always been a strong advocate of cryptocurrency its not much of a surprise and this would bring up wonderful tweets with quality content on cryptocurrency as well. It would be a plus for content creators on Twitter and this also would recruit more content creators because getting tips in bitcoin alone is more valuable than the local Fiat  currency payments.
Now it's up to us what to do next, this is a pretty big development in cryptospace and to Twitter, it's now the public that has to do something in regards to what's happening to crypto right now, it's also another avenue for malicious people to scam people.

I am sensing that maybe Twitter is going to be a big and very popular hub for Bitcoin and this can be good news to the whole cryptocurrency industry. We know that Twitter has been a very important tool for cryptocurrency as it has never transform into a police for the industry and allowed all crypto enthusiasts to be active on the site promoting whatever they want to...with less restrictions and censorship. We should be thanking Jack for this good opportunity.

Great one.
This is an encouragement for the community and the world.
Could also make other organizations consider adopting bitcoin.
All it takes is a bold move from just one man.

Excellent! Twitter just keeps getting better. Jack has mentioned in interviews that if it weren't for the job on Twitter he would be working with bitcoin. But he is going to masterfully encourage the Twitter community to be rewarded with bitcoin for its content and the spaces that the community promotes.
A step forward to test how micropayments can work with bitcoin.
Jack Mallers earned the responsibility for this new Twitter feature thanks to his strike. Very good for this developer!
We are witnessing innovations taking bitcoin as a reference.

It has now come into reality. I guess everybody has seen that news before when it was still a plan or likely a rumor. Good job for Jack and it's not only beneficial for his companies but for bitcoin mainly.

Is this going to be a dictate to other socials that they should start adding this feature of tipping their favorite content creators with bitcoin/lightning network? I think that it will be.

This is very positive for Bitcoin and the Lightrning network from Twitter and Jack Dorsey. As long as he stays on top of Twitter, we can expect Bitcoin to grow further. Jack Dorsey is a huge influence. In the future I am sure that the bitcoin price will go higher than the current figure.

I hear they’re also going to allow authenticated NFTs as profile picks. That is the start of the game changing for NFTs. Once they become a provable flex on social networks, shit could start to get wild. Every celebrity and social media influencer is going to want to have the best and most expensive profile pics…

I've read a thread of this on twitter too. I can't remember where that it but it will definitely go wild over there on twitter once this Bitcoin adoption in twitter spreads out. NFTs are going to be more entertaining for social media people, they always want to impress everyone so it's almost like a contest of how expensive the NFT they own.

Can we expect LN wallet on our Twitter account?

Twitter announced it months ago and now it's being implemented. Very good, really very important news. If this is accepted by users, then I see other platforms being able to incorporate it in the future. So Facebook should take a good look at that and with libra they tried something wrong. Take Bitcoin!

This is good news for bitcoin. Twitter's adoption will benefit content creators by providing tips in the form of bitcoins to other users. bitcoin will be an important instrument for the company and that they will introduce the feature to its Tip Jar. At the moment it appears this feature is only in the iOS beta, but it looks like it will make its way to Android as well eventually.
It's not yet known when the feature will roll out, but the code also indicates that Twitter will provide users with tutorials on how to tip using bitcoin, as well as using the Bitcoin Lightning Network and custodial and non-custodial wallets.

Good news, because that would not only have an impact on the strength of adoption, but also the impact on twitter would obviously be very good. Maybe some twitter users who hate crypto especially Bitcoin will be quite hot to hear this news. Although currently the trial will be carried out for Apple iOS users. I will keep waiting for Android user queue. Besides this will be launched of course I will monitor how it will run effectively.

I have locked my thread, and interested in discussing in your thread.

I think Twitter being able to connect a third party tipping service and including the ability to link Bitcoin addresses and Lightning Network addresses is another step forward for the development of the twitter company. Besides Twitter, there are other social media such as Telegram, Facebook, Youtube etc. Will they also follow Twitter's steps?

More positivity towards Bitcoin and the Lightrning network from Twitter and Jack Dorsey.
As long as he is at the helm of Twitter we can expect further Bitcoin developments
because everyone knows he is a Bitcoin MAXimalist.

Its all good!

I wonder how long some of the other social media sites are going to leave it before
integrating Bitcoin in some way?

what jack dorsei is doing this time is to reward bitcoin content creators by paying them outright. This feature is a series of Twitter developments focused on bitcoin adoption and Jack Dorsey has also announced that he is building a decentralized exchange for bitcoin.
Bitcoin tipping using the Lightning network will make twitter the first social media platform to use the Lightning network as payment for bitcoin content creator tips.

this is good news for bitcoin. Social media giants like Twitter are starting to adopt bitcoin and implement it on their platforms.
