Thanks, that was very helpful.  I ended up sending the BTC despite my concern regarding the second strange address and I didn't lose any BTC so...  I still don't see that second address anywhere, even under the addresses tab showing all.  One of the mysteries of the universe I suppose.

As the user @TheQuin says, it most likely went to a change address. I think there is a way to stop change addresses being used in the Preferences window in the wallet.

However, as long as your coins are still there, they'll just get spent from your change addresses and so can still be used. If you want them back in the original address, you can make a transaction from that change address to the origianl address with the amount that you want to send to it (just if you need everything on the original address) you will have to pay a fee though of course but it'll be very minimal to the 19btc you already have.

Go to the 'Addresses' tab and change the filter from 'Receiving' to 'Change' and you should see it there, not a mystery after all.

On the preview window, the addresses will be colour coded to tell you what is what:

Green - One of your receiving addresses
Yellow - One of your "change" addresses
No highlight - An external address (ie. not contained in the current wallet)

Click on the "Addresses" tab (View -> Show Addresses, if you can't see an "Addresses" tab)... and change the filter to: "Change" - "All"... you should see the "1Hg8ZX4dWizehtF47o6mYHcgRRs3zZcXzJ" address listed there.

Ignore the 2nd address that showed up. As long as the amount you sent is perfect, you don't have to worry about it.

Anyhow, I looked up the 2nd address 1Hg8ZX4dWizehtF47o6mYHcgRRs3zZcXzJ and it doesn't seem to be connected to anything.
It shows 0 balance. Next time you send and if there's another 2nd address showed up together with the right one, it's normal.

Thanks for the quick reply. I updated my wallet after I saw there was an issue.  Anyhow, I looked up the 2nd address 1Hg8ZX4dWizehtF47o6mYHcgRRs3zZcXzJ and it doesn't seem to be connected to anything.  At top the
Transaction ID: Unknown
Status:  Unsigned
Amount sent:  5. TC
Fee .00063641
Lock Time 505582

The Input box address is one I received BTC before but the second address on the Outputs doesn't show up anywhere in any wallet I've ever used (I keep track of the addresses I've used)

Well, I'll look around some more just to be sure, I was just concerned some hacker figured out how to send some BTC to his address every time I used my wallet.

I was about to send BTC from my Electrum 3.0.5 wallet and it shows 1 Input and 2 outputs.  The amount I want to send, 5BTC and a second one of over 19BTC.  This doesn't seem normal as I sent some the other day and there was only 1 output. It's a bit unsettling Any ideas?

Thx

One of them is probably a change address that you have sent to .

That's a perfectly normal thing to happen.
If it says in the transaction just -5BTC then your coins are fine.

If it doesn't and the number at the bottom of your wallet is wrong, then there may be a greater issue.
