No problem. I just figured you couldn't do math.
Guess you just wanted to check with others first to make sure.

You trolled the thread and insulted multiple people.

Many of us have power deals  that make using 741's feasible.

My assumption was he had cheap power or free power so I told him buy a psu for about 40-50 bucks.

I can do the math too!
But I have free electricity and this is why I am mining with those.

If you run them with lower frequency, 3 A741 can total about 2700-3000 watts, e.g., https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.19893916.

The point I was making wasn't at all about profitability; as they didn't ask about that. We provided them with the info they needed to make what they are using work. Normally at the end of reply I may have asked them why they are running old gear, but I reviewed their trust and saw they've owned one for more than a year which is more than enough time to figure out if it's worth it for them to run.

Overall I found your replies incomplete and confusing, with out trying to be helpful; so I don't get the point.

Even taking efficiency into account, I ran 4 741's up until about 3 weeks ago. This was because I had a unique situation that made sense.

^^

We try to help people here with the questions they ask. There is tons of info for them to see and figure out if they want something more efficient.

Some people have unique situations where running older inefficient gear makes sense.

No that's not going to cut it. Baseline for 3 741's is 3300W maybe 3450W can't recall for sure.

Your 2 psu's would only be rated at 3200W combined. Even if you downclocked the miners you would be pushing max capacity on the PSU's. If you can I suggest picking up another PSU or you're asking for trouble.
