At what temp are your GPUs hashing? For your own good, it's better to leave such room and go to another if there is any, too much heat is not healthy for a long time as things might go wrong in your body system, and mining rigs are not worth dying for.
2. Extra cooling for on an open case do they really work? I've never used one and now that we have hot weather here I think its a good time to apply them.
You can think of several options, but I would advise you to first make good ventilation if you have more than 2 mining farms in the room.
Extra cooling works up to a certain extent for example it can make the cards temperature go down like 5-6 degree Celsius which is good in my opinion.I have seen open air rigs with two floors,in the first floor they keep the motherboard and other stuff,in the second floor they keep the cards,it is here that they install additional 6 extra cooling fan to give extra cooling to the cards and as I said it offers about 5-6 degree less temperature which overall costs much less than the server case but the trade off is that the cooling is not as perfect as the closed case.In the end the choice is yours,personally I am happy with the extra fans and their cheap cost.
A good server case costs up to 800$ the kind of money that can buy an extra GPU, I decide not to use them because they are way too high in price, if you have a cooling issue its cheaper to buy fans and add to your normal open case rig.

So if you have 8x 3090's and 240 volts it would be worth getting.

all three are high quality and work well I own all of them. be sure you buy ones with the server plus and be sure you have proper power ie 240 in most but not all cases.
I have 13 working cases 3x 8 and 10 x 12. and about 150 gpus . some are not in those cases.
all of my cases work well. One had some shipping damage I repaired it.
The nice thing about these cases is 2 will fit in the right garage and you are done.
If you search around you can find cheaper versions.
