Hi @camino, with the latest release of Multibit Classic 0.5.19 you can adjust fees using a fee slider from the wallet settings and set your desired fees.

Try using the ViaBTC Accelerator[1] and see how things goes from there, otherwise you will have to export the private keys, import them to another wallet and then send them to Multibit HD with the recommended fees.

Txs with Multibit Classic not confirming so followed advice - upgrade to HD. But transferring test amounts to the new wallet results in the same problem and 0.5.18 has no facility to increase the fee. What now? Thanks in advance!
