I like it. Real man use usb key on mining rig Smiley
P.S. don't forget to plug your network adapter

You should post it in the mining rig thread http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=7216.0

Just did.

$49 bucks will buy you one of these, no cutting or custom mods necessary, plus these things are totally stackable:

The sheet is made to fit on a 19" rack (on a "table" fixture) but I admit it is cheaper if the unit can stack naturally...however you cannot beat this design in term of air flow.

I don't think propping up a DVI->VGA adapter is in the specifications for a kill-a-watt meter Tongue

Kill-a-watt was always showing the same thing (about 500W) so it was getting boring...found another purpose Smiley

Not to be a jerk but those things are really not very stackable. I mean they are in theory, but I own 2 and the stacking dealie, the support bracket literally does not fit into the support bracket holes (on either piece). And since it is a THICK piece of acryllic I'm not very happy about my options for shaving it down. You will DEFINITELY need this piece to support the weight of 3+ videocards + HDD (if you use one) + PSU + mobo as the remaining supports are simply screwed into the corners of the somewhat thin flimsy acryllic base. Perhaps I was just unlucky, but if you cannot rig up your own supports and/or get the provided support to work, this will not stack without breaking.

Hi,

I made a "casing" for my rig...just a Plexiglas sheet, with the ATX holes pattern cut by a laser. Screwed in some mobo stand-offs, double-side taped the PSU and voila! Couldn't not be simpler.

In addition to the main sheet, there are three little parts (if you look closely at the screenshot w/ the mobo), this is used to install a third video on top of two others (not shown...I don't have riser cable yet). The reason for this is to avoid air flow problems with all 3 cards side-by-side.

PM me if you want the design file (cannot post attachment here). If you have access to the proper machines (e.g.: laser cutter or CNC) you can make your own in no time. Ponoko.com is another option (upload design file and they cut it for you). Also, I can make some in exchange for BTC...again, just PM me. Plexiglas sheet comes in 4'x8' so I need at least 10 orders to get things going and not loose money.

Cheers,
