I'd like to just be able to see a list of bitcoin users in my area.. Anyway that can happen?
Just register. If you have an account with nearly anything, you can log in with that, then all Ubitex wants is a username and email address.
But anonymous access is planned for the future.

Charging a .5 btc listing fee will hinder reaching critical mass. It would make more sense to grow it as a free service and then charge a fee when it is popular.

Buy a Neodymium magnet to test the ink and a counterfeit bill marker to test the paper. Check the text and serial number.

I clicked "Sellers near me" and nothing happens. How does someone use this website?

I put in an order. How do I know that the system properly understands my location and will match me to someone within the specified radius?
If you specify an ambiguous location, you'll get a 500 error (for now).

I had to set a radius of 3000 miles before it found any matches, but then it didn't say how far away the one listing was. It would be nice to see the distances so that you could pick and choose between the offers.
look in your profile, it listed my city perfectly. i think it finds you by ip address.
Yes, we geolocate IP addresses. However, you can change this just by changing the text in the box... you can use any syntax Google Maps will like

Ubitex is simple. Enter your location, then either place or complete orders near you. Done.
