They were let off after president Trump intervened in their behalf (I am not sure whether they thanked him for that in return). But the damage which they did was beyond repair. The East Asians in general are having negative views about Americans, and in particular the African Americans. These idiots just worsened the prevailing tensions there.

There is no tolerance toward anyone stealing. Who ever says the contrary support theives, who knows what they may do next (rape)! There is no way to be lenient! It would cause disturbance and unfairness! And them spending 3 years in jail would teach a lot of people foreigners and nationals that stealing is a breach of trust and an abnegation of the work of those they steal from!

I don't know the exact court ruling on this but I'd like to have it as an analogy. If you are a guest in someone's house and you steal from them then your ass is going to be beaten. Now in this case, this ucla player has to be tried in foreign soil since he doesn't have diplomatic immunity, even if he's got diplomatic immunity then you will have to be tried in the US

These people are as criminal as other criminals. Legal forces must penalize these ucla players for shoplifting . Stealing is stealing. There need to be no tolerance whether you are american citizen or not. They must be put into prison.
These kids are basketball players who may one day have more money than the shop they've lifted her to. One's liangelo ball who has a very loudmouth farher and would probably get more attention and reasons to bash lavar the father

For me it should be like this, so long as you're in s country, you should follow that country's law. Same as when you're inside someone else's house, you have yo adjust and follow their routine. In the case of the shoplifter, he should face the law of the land. Surprisingly, Trump intervened well maybe because that person is a UCLA athlete but nonetheless that person should face justice

Doing something rong is human, and i refer to the small stuff that don't directly harm others.
